Today we remember those who have served and sacrificed to protect the freedoms we enjoy. Cherish the day, celebrate, and given the opportunity, thank a service man or woman. I know I will.
Hey, Grandma J, GREAT job on the graphics, how did you dress your little self in that patriotic outfit? Maybe I can commission you to do a fun header for my page.
Well, I came back to leave a Memorial Day Sa-lute and vote four times for bar-b-que on the poll.... (to make up for all the times I didn't take the poll)
Poll closed.....Don't have to bar-b-que.
p.s. you are truly very adorable little miss red/white and blue grandma j. watcha.got.there.in.your basket? huh?
Wonderful Memorial Day sentiments, Grandma J., thank you for sharing them. Our family is very appreciative of all of our servicemen and women of current times and past. Please extend our gratitude to your son in law (is he John?).
So well said. I think I've cried 30-40 times this weekend, just thinking about stuff. "Stuff" being my inarticulate way of expressing admiration and gratitude, to your John and all who serve.

Thank you for reminding me, Karen B., and thank you for your kind words.
I would like to apologize for not clarifying who Soldier John is. He is my son-in-law, a Master Sergeant in the United States Army.

Anyways, it was just me, Doug doesnt blog (read or write).
