I think Grandma J HAD two green ficus trees.
Darn...perhaps a can of green spray paint would do the trick :)Happy Nwe Year Grandma J!lMnop
I really don't see the problem...
Hee, hee, hee!I love that you decorated them.Every-so-often we get a freeze and my plants look like they're done. But all but one of them has come back. Of course, the one that didn't was my favorite. I'm jealous that you've had some snow though.PS - I hope you added falling snow to your blog. Otherwise, I'm seeing white floaters - that's never a good sign.
You have been on a roll with the comedy my friend. Ficus trees could make it indoors too--just in case your thinking of getting new ones. How bout silk? I wonder if more snow will head our way. It has been COLD. 2 more months and we will back into the nice weather and then HEAT.
Looks like you ran out of blogging material. I'll save my dead plants for you.Colin
Well, it is quiet obvious the judges dont have any taste in front porch decorating!<><
HA HA HA! I think they look quite festive with the lights! I think you should have won first prize. ;)I haven't seen much of anything "green" here for a couple of months now, but then I live in northern Ohio!
They look.... gilded.
a lovely artist point of view!
I can't believe you did not win. Can you get a photo of the winning porch? are their plants alive?
I so think that the lights make all the difference! I just don't understand what the problem is ?? I would have given you 1st prize!
I"m with Ellen, I think they look gold. That's it. Gold. Crispy gold.
They look gold. Martha Stewart would have given you the gold prize for this!
Maybe one of those blow up snoopy dogs would have helped get the blue ribbon. NOT!Enjoy your snow and Happy New Year!
I dont understand ... did the person who won have live things on their front stoop? I think the dead ficus trees are very stylish and show off the bow and lights far more interestingly than live ones would .. all that living green would detract from the red bows and sparkly lights .. clearly the judges had no imagination!
