Living on the River
So many people were devastated by the ravaging floods along the Mississippi River. Some had the foresight and the means to do what they had to do to protect their property.
Like building their very own levy
Protecting their property from total destruction
Hopefully with a boat on site to shuttle the kids to school, go to work, and to get to town and back for daily essentials.

Horrifying weather indeed ... I am still trying to process all the destruction, this has been a terrible year in so many ways
Oh my goodness! Hard to imagine having to do this just to try and save your home.
...now I feel guilty for complaining about this darn wind!
