TIME FLIES WHEN YOU'RE BABYSITTING
I've spent the last five days and nights with JJ. His family came home tonight after delays in Dallas. I think there should be a movie called Delays in Dallas.
For those of you who don't pay attention when I gripe about air travel, you have to stop in Dallas going and coming to the regional airport here in Central Texas. Oh sure, you could probably fly direct anywhere from Austin, but no one will drive you or pick you up. It's about 65 miles and the traffic in Austin is terrible...so we all suffer through the Dallas delays.
They were at a family reunion for my SIL family in Tucson. This is what my grandkids brought me back.
This is a real cactus in a real little pot with real soil in it....with a magnet that holds it on my refrigerator!
And this is a Dream Catcher! It's supposed to be over my bed, but it think it's more appropriate to hang it on my refrigerator...where all my fantasies are stored.
One thing I want to share with you are these random photos. They all have the same thing in common about my littlest grandson, JJ.

I'm going to try to see my Friday Matinee tomorrow on Monday, as promised! It will be tight, because I have my aqua aerobics, and have to pack my luggage for my early morning departure to Las Vegas Tuesday morning. In case you are wondering, yes, I have to change planes...but it will be in Houston! That's a switch for me...and just when I was getting used to Dallas.

It looks like JJ won't need a micro chip with his signature ear!
I want to go to Las Vegas too!
Vegas? you will be so close....you should swing by and take your grandkids to Target or Ihop.
Hey, when we went to visit, we flew into Austin, which was as easy as John Wayne, and seemed to be less than an hour from you "middle child's" house.
Had my first chocolate party tonight...YUMMY.
That JJ is just too adorable !
1. Austin traffic is NOT THAT bad! (You sound like my mom!)
2. If you came to Pflugerville I'd drive you the rest of the way to the airport.
3. You and JJ had WAY too much fun.
4. A fridge cactus - cool.
5. Target or Ihop? Kim should shoot a little higher - like Chucke Cheese's!
Mental note to self:
*Kim has a bad memory about how far Austin is (farther than LAX).
*Kim also thinks Las Vegas is just down the road from her...just 300+ miles.
* When booking next flight (especially if it connects to a cruise that I'll miss if one more change is made to my itinerary)be sure and book out of Austin, then drive to Pflugerville, leave car at Cortneys who will take me the rest of the way into Austin.
*IHOP is a fav with Beauty because "Len" works there and she has a huge crush on him...it's the extra whipped cream on the cocoa.
*and to philly and karen, yes....JJ is one hot dude!
Just caught up on your weekend posts. And boy, you've got it right about flying through Dallas. Yes, we can get direct flights from here, but most flights go through Dallas. We'll see what happens to us when we travel next.
Glad you had fun with JJ.

JJ reminds me so much of Jack... I LOVE LOVE the ears.
