BOLT

The movie....the dog, the super hero dog named Lassie Bolt! And his loyal person Timmy Penny.

I'm telling you, I don't know if I should laugh or cry. I couldn't wait for the opening of Bolt. But just like the other movies I've seen lately, like Soul Men and the Changeling, the theatre was just about empty. By just about, I mean there was me, and a family of five who left more trash than a whole busload of famished football players. I don't know why I picked on football players, so you can substitute it with any group of starving 200 lb guys. Could it be I'm the only one who goes to matinees in this town? Anyway, I had plenty of elbow room.

The movie was adorable, and I say that as a dog person....and there is a cat for
cat lovers, who is hilarious, along with a hamster for hamster lovers and some pigeons. That should take care of most of the animal lovers, unless you are a horse lover, or love farm type animals.

The 3-D part was an added plus. The journey was interesting and funny. But for me? Not the best animated movie. But this weekend has something for everyone. Bond 007, for the adventurous and Twilight for the bloodsucking teenagers..said tongue in cheek.

I give this movie three and a half paws.

*I will be leaving helpful gift ideas for Christmas. Basically they will be gifts I'm contemplating getting for my own children and grandchildren...and I'm sharing these great gift ideas with you! These will appear on the bottom of my page. Starting today is my first gift idea, check it out.

Kaishon wants to see this. I don't know if he will after I tell him the infamous Grandma Ja only gave it 3 1/2 stars....Oh yeah, even though he adores you, he will still want to see it. I just hope there aren't any agendas. I am tired of agendas today : )!

Grandma J. THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU for making me laugh out loud so hard I am crying, and that is NO easy feat. I have only read the very first paragraph about Lassie and Timmy and DIE EVERY TIME I GO BACK AND TRY TO GET THROUGH IT.

I'm sure the rest of the post is wonderful. Thank you. But that first paragraph just absolutely kills me.

Thank you!1

Oh pooh...I was wrong. oh well. Sorry to hear of the "trashy people" in the theater. What gives????
I would love to go see a movie in the daytime....perhaps one day I will.
I am sure Cocoa and Ozzie would have enjoyed it.
Take care,
SUZ

CBW, You are so easy to make laugh, I can't imagine what you would have done if I had mentioned Timmy Down the Well.

Suz, I kept thinking how much little JJ would have loved this movie. Wouldn't it be nice if they had a showing of dog movies for dogs? What a hoot.

I'm not so much an animal person. I'll wait for it to come out on DVD. I DO want to see Twilight. I just finished reading it because all the kids at my church were reading it. SO GOOD!

We saw Bolt on Friday night...w/ the 9 year old in a PACKED theater. We loved it..I had tears in my eyes laughing at that silly little hamster, our version was NOT in 3D..and I'm OK w/ that.
Miley's voice grates on me so I'm glad she wasn't in it very much.
If I lived in your town I would take off work ever week to go to the movies with you.
