I have to say, I love Ice Age anything! The first two were fun, funny and cute. This third is even cuter, and well worth the extra to see it in 3D, unlike UP!

Where we last left off with Manny (Ray Romano).....

and Ellie (Queen Lativa), his significant other, they hadn't consummated their now they are a couple, and Ellie is pregnant and about to give birth.

Manny is excited at the thought of being a new dad, and not all of his friends like the new Manny, especially Diego the lion (Dennis Leary).

Our favorite character....(OK he's mine), Sid the sloth, wants a family too, and falls through the ice and happens to find three dinosaur eggs in an underground world of kidding, what a coincidence! Sid drags the eggs to the surface, and they hatch into adorable babies, much to Sid's delight....or is it demise?

The Mommy dinosaur shows up and the fun begins, but not for Sid! I don't want to give too much away, but Scrat the squirrel is back, as well as the brother possums. The audience seemed to love the movie, with loads of laughs, and it held the attention of kids as well as adults.

I give this movie five baby dinos out of five.

I made a snack for the 4th of July. One that the grandkids
love...Oh heck, what am I saying, my daughter was the first to dig in.

That's right.....Rice Krispy Treat stars. There is nothing Grandma J can't make out of Rice Krispy Treat stuff.

She even bagged up the parts left over after cutting out the stars. This was her daughter's favorite part.

Since JJ didn't get any, Grandma J took him for a ride through the hood...looking for "bad guys".

JJ loves his job as the head honcho of the neighborhood watch. Um, that means watching for real bad buys like birds and cats.

And are my 3D glasses! I didn't read your comment until after I saw the movie.

They are for real, and not the red and blue paper ones.

Happy 4th of July, everyone! Pray for our troops that are serving in harms way. Remember all service men and woman currently serving and those who have served. I personally want to thank my SIL 1SG John (and his family) for his sacrifice. Stay safe.

Thanks for that review - glad it was good. I"ll try to get the kids to see it next week, as I am in denial about having to do anything to prepare for bloggers descending in less than two weeks.

Have a great 4th.

JJ is a true patriot, and I'm sure one of those treats wouldn't kill him.

Happy Fourth of July

So glad you liked the movie!!!! I can't wait to see it...and aren't you supposed to recycle those glasses at the theater???? :)
I love rice krispie treats too....I think they are health food. Especially when you color them like that!!!

Jason, as himself said...

How about lasagna? Can you make lasagna out of rice crispy treat stuff? Chicken enchiladas? Chili?

Okay. I'm being a saracastic brat. Please forgive me.

Jason, as himself said...

Sarcastic. Not saracastic. Saracastic is a new term for Sarah Palin's sense of humor. Saracastic.

Suz, I thought I bought those glasses when I paid $2.50 extra. Besides, they were in a sealed bag, and I don't think anyone wants to wear glasses that aren't in a sealed bag.

Jason, I love sarcastic. And, you see? There is a reason why Pumpkin hasn't invited you over to eat in her dining room now that she's recovered the chair seats...Rice Krispy Treat Enchiladas! HA!
