all year 'round
A-Ron started another baseball league twenty miles from home. The season openers (doubleheader) were Saturday.
Getting a good luck hug from JJ........
But here's something I want to know from other dog lovers. Just don't judge Grandma J on her manners....
....but does anyone else's dog stop what they are doing and stare at you if you burp? Not that Grandma J is a burper by nature, it's just the occasional belch that slips out that catches JJ's attention.
Here we are....on deck getting batting pointers from Grandma J. A-Ron is trying out his new bat the Sgt John bought for him. Yeah, isn't it great that our soldiers can shop on the internet from Iraq?
A-Ron hit a stand-up double, driving in two runs. This is A-Ron on third....leading off and taunting the pitcher as the third baseman yells for the ball. He's being ignored.
And, A-Ron is going....and the third baseman is wanting the ball!
Grandma J missed the slide at home...but A-Ron scored on a steal home.
The excitement didn't end there.....
Grandma J got hammered by a foul ball.
I know you are confused...how does someone get nailed on the inside of their arm? Maybe if they put their hands on the back of their head.

I don't know which is funnier: Grandma J's big bad bruise or her big bad belches that cause JJ to stare.
Wait, I just decided - it's the belches.
This was HILARIOUS! Not because you got hurt though. You poor thing. I think you look thinner in that picture. You are a beauty : ) Go A Ron!
so a-ron did some fall ball instead of football huh, or is he doing double duty? and way to take one for the team suckin up your foul ball injury!!.... he he...
Well I guess a belch may be better than a poot! That a-ron is something!
<><
My goal for today is to meet my doctor's wife so we can become friends and hang out together. I'm loving how you network.
That grandson is a mighty gifted athlete. It would be worth driving 20 miles to watch him play.
Our dog is quite fond of people who pass gas. In other words, she doesn't like at all.
A-Ron is awesome .. I think in dog speak a belch might actually be a word .. JJ thinks you are speaking dog .. no?, okay then.
And I feel your pain, I am always getting those deep tissue bruises, no, not because I attend ball games with my arms over my head but because I am a klutz. Okay.
OMG!!! You crack me up!!!
At least you have an EXCUSE for having a bruise. I never know where mine originate....unless I remember bumping into the furniture!
When you burped, JJ was sniffing to see if he could figure out what you had for lunch. He was hoping you had saved a bite for him.
1. Way to go A-Ron!! Awesome!
2. Yes, dogs do normally stop and look when any bodily function is audible. Including their own...
3. That looks very serious, Grandma J...
Looks like you have a star ball player there.
Those little yappy dogs stop and stare at any noise, inside or out.
And that bruise? All I can say is I'm glad someone was there to give you some attention. And that might be the doctor's wife, or the kid who hit the foul ball.
Colin
My cat does the same thing...he will even wake up for it...he runs if the gas comes out the other end though.
I caught a ball with my face once...it wasn't pretty and involved a broken nose. To this day, I am terrified of baseball in person. I also put my hands on my head.
I'm sure JJ thought you were having a snack without him.
My dogs stop whatever they are doing everytime I move-drives me nuts sometimes.
That's a pretty snazzy bat A-Ron!
Congrats to A-Ron! I sure how he did not hit the foul ball that hit you!!! Lucky it did not hit you in the face...that would be really, really bad.
My dogs look at me when I burp. I mean, they look at the Coach when he burps. I never burp. ;)
Yes, my dogs even cock their heads in confusion at any burp.
Wanted to tell you- On my day off yesterday, I saw a car on the highway here in Maryland. They had a vanity license plate- "Granma J" You sure you're not in my neck of the woods?!
How is your injury healing?
