Is It Just Me?
It's been extremely hectic around The Spa lately. Between physical therapy, cleaning my floors (that happen to all be wood lamanent), doing laundry, packing for a trip, writing the State of The Union Speech checks for my February bills that can't be paid on line, and porking out on Hagen Daz, Grandma J hasn't had much time to play Bejeweled Blitz goof off.
Dispite all that, there are some things that she refuses to put on the back burner. One of them is taking JJ for car rides whenever she's in his neck of the woods....because he still lives with his wicked step-mother and not Grandma J.
On our rides we always pass this yard coming up in front of us. Like every other lawn this time of year here in Central Texas it's brown. Well except for some of the crab grass and weeds. They always seem to survive and stay green. Grandma J has never taken the time to slow down and get a good look at those things growning around that tree.
Today she did. Her suspicions were right. They are artificial.....just stuck in the ground. Is it just me, or is this crazy? Do people in your neighborhood do this?
Do you want to know something else that's crazy? Pinky promise not to laugh, and if you're related to me, do NOT sign the papers to have me committed.
The only time Grandma J folds, or in this case rolls her undies is when she packs them in a piece of luggage.
Otherwise, they get thrown in a drawer in her dresser all in a bunch......nothing orderly. Once again I ask you, Is it just me?

I fold my undies. I enjoy folding laundry. Am I crazy?

I never ever fold my undies. It is a rule in our house. Everything else is folded and put away neatly.
Just don't look in either of the girls drawers!!!
Oh my goodness. I knew we were long lost twins. I do the same exact thing... I even put mine in that same location. I can't believe this : ). I am DELIGHTED to find out one more thing we have in common.
I think planting a fake tree is weird. Super weird.
Oh, Oh! There is a house in my neighborhood that has some artificial flowers in their beds! And, YES, it is too funny!
Now you get back in that suitcase and re-order those panties from dark to light! BWAHAHAHAHA!

Here's the thing....tiny bikini's and thongs are too teensy to roll or fold. You sort of ruined the mystery, now we all know (and saw) that you were "Grandma panties" (I guess that's not a surprise, you are, afterall, "Grandma" J)
As for weird lawns....in AZ there isnt even green crabgrass, better yet, not even brown grass...it's all DIRT. And for the fancy houses, that get colored rocks and make designs on their property. One favorite yard had a wooden bridge, with a "stream" of blue rocks going under it. NIIIIICE.
There are some people around here who stick fake flowers in the ground too. I have always thought that to be a little silly. I guess they are easy to take care of though. HA!

You pack the same way I do! Roll stuff up saves space. My sister needs to learn our tricks of the packing trade.
Yup. I take my fresh outta the laundry undies and toss them into a drawer BUT I sort of push them to the back so they dont get worn again right away .. I have a lot of undies. AND when I travel I dont roll them, I stuff them in the corners of the suitcase/tote/whatever ...
Those are some fancy bloomers ya got there! That fake crap annoys me. You need to go there at night and get rid of it....

There's a car wash that in the dead of winter is completely - and I do mean completely planted so there's no room in between - planted in bright yellow plastic mum flowers. This will change to bright pink come spring. Hmmm...I'll have to go take a photo of it!
And I've never ever heard of an aba zaba bar!
My mom puts fake flowers in hanging planters on her porch each summer. She doesn't want to have to water them. GAH!
I'm an undie-folder. It's part of that anal-retentive gene I inherited!
I fold my undies but they still get messed up. That didnt sound right, did it? And I have all real flowers at my house except for my 2 flower boxes on my little shed. The green thumb just wont work over there for some reason.
So looking at that suitcase you'll be home in 9 days or you will be doing laundry! Have a great trip and I look forward to the stories! Aba Zaba!

Plastic flowers outside fade and collect dirt. I have Sellers that try to use them and I tell them to take them out right away!
Folding undies? Never. I don't even fold my kitchen wash rags anymore, Oprah said it wasn't important and to spend my time doing something more useful (Bejweled Blitz)---I love it when Oprah takes a chore away!
Folding underwear? Is that like matching and rolling socks? I don't do either... though I have separate drawers for undies, dressy/crazy socks and athletic socks...

I'm going to vote "crazy" on the fake plants, particularly when paired with mulch in the shape of the state of Texas.
On the underwear folding, I vote "just a tad crazy, but in a good way" but that's because I know you.

I dont fold undies and I dont match socks........its a rule in my house.
