She's On Their List

Last July when Grandma J went to the first annual Blog Fest in Mathews, VA, her luggage was opened and inspected by TSA.  Since they don't tell you what red flagged their suspicions about your luggage, Grandma J figured it was the 20+ metal cookie cutters shaped like the state of Texas.   Just a wild guess.

Fast forward to last night when Grandma J arrived back in Texas.  Upon opening her luggage to empty it and start a load of laundry she discovered this........

That's right....her luggage was targeted once again.    Grandma J also got patted down by a female TSA agent, even though there were several male agents available.

While no contraband or weapons of mass distruction were found on Grandma J's person, she has a sneaking suspicion that this is what they were looking for in her luggage.......

Her Aba Zaba candy bars and several small jars of Knott's Boysenberry Preserves.   And yes they opened one of the boxes of Aba Zaba candy bars because the cellophane wrapping was off.  And yes again, Grandma J counted the candy bars to make sure they didn't confiscate any.

The preserves still had the little seals on the lids.   Grandma J is sending a little bitty jar of Knott's Boysenberry preserves along with the Aba Zaba candy bars to everyone who submitted their address.

Did Grandma J ever tell you about the time she went through security in Orlando with three cigarette lighters in her purse?   No one noticed!

If there's anyone else who wants some preserves, email me your address.

I always read, but don't always comment (lame, I know), but this line was just too good not to compliment you on your witted eloquence,

"Grandma J also got patted down by a female TSA agent, even though there were several male agents available. "

You are freaking adorable!

Yes, they have your number lady!!!
I remember reading before about making explosives with boysenberry preserves and aba zaba candy bars. You are lucky not to be in the 'big house' right now!!

I don't know Grandma J! Those Abba Zabba bars look VERY suspicious to me...

So glad you are home safe and sound! I know Texas is a better place now that you are back : )

I dunno, I think they have a sniffing dog behind those counters and he either sniffed the Abba Zabba's or wanted to see if you folded your panties for the trip home.

BTW--TSA confiscated something from my hubby last weekend. He had two of those Mott's Apple Sauce snack packs. He tried to argue with them because she told him it was a liquid, paste or gel. He said he doesn't drink the stuff or rub it on him; he eats it.
Needless to say, he lost.

The cookie cutters!

Also, I'm going to go with Life with Kaishon and say that the Abba Zabba candy bars are highly suspect. Never heard of them, unless you count Scooby's Abba Zabba Doo, but I'm sure you're not.

Hahahaha!
Glad you made it back safely! The agent who looked in your bag must have an allergy to peanut butter or all those Aba Zabas would be gone!

Remind me not to travel with you! Even though I have nothing to hide, I think I'd freak out if they wanted to frisk me.
