Andrew's Cub Scout buddy's joined him at the St. Baldricks Day event. What great friends!
They did it to stand toe-to-toe with those still fighting for their lives
Andrew loves Zoe. He knows there is no cure for her cancer....another reason to support St. Baldricks.
They did it as a reminder that too many kids get cancer
And because they love each other more than you can imagine.
She did it because....
She wanted to let her brother know that she too wanted to make a difference....
......and with no regrets!
Grandma J suggested that this beautiful sister is mature enough to get her ears pierced.....and shouldn't have to wait until she's a teenager. Her parents agreed!!!

Angel legend and Baseball Hall of Famer, Rod Carew lost his daughter Michelle to Leukemia 15 years ago. He continues to raise funds and awareness, claiming to have gained many more children in the process. I'm sure his daughter is proud of him.
They did it for love
The saying, "The apple doesn't fall far from the tree", couldn't be any truer! Dad has always been a supporter and advocate for finding a cure through fundraising.

This is great! Never heard of St.Baldrick's Day before, but next year I'll keep an eye out for it in Phoenix. Those kids are heros aren't they?! Did Beauty get her ears pierced? I am so happy you are back blogging!

Yes, please hand me some tissues. What a beautiful post! I do feel sad for children with cancer, or anyone with cancer. My father passed away at the beginning of this month from it. I sympathize with all the families going through this with a loved one. My heart goes out to all of them.
When it comes to any hardship, we must always remain strong, not just for ourselves, but especially for those suffering.
Oh, brings tears to my eyes. Those kids (and adults) are just beautiful souls. I love that Zoe...adding her to my daily prayers.

That was really a lovely post and it is horrible that we still have not found a cure. I lost a cousin a couple of months ago.
