Wordless Wednesday ................ musical edition

This is The Four Preps singing 26 Miles (Santa Catalina).   It was a big hit in Southern California and it's the song that lives on with those of us who grew up along the So CA coast, and traveling to the Island on a regular basis.  Today, you can still hear it on the Island at night.  Someone is always requesting it in one of the open air clubs.

Yeah, this is my Wordless Wednesday!

I guess it wasn't such a big hit in the hills of Kentucky! Then again, we were pretty limited in so many ways.

My favorite of theirs was Down By The Station.

My opinion matters,

I barely remember the song...but I think it was a theme song of a radio station...but that's just about as fuzzy as "Car 54 Where Are You?"

Thanks for the memories :)

A cute little ditty. I've never heard it before though...do they have a Florida version?? ;)

I've always loved this song. They play it on AM960 Carlisle. You can listen to it on the web. m.
