This week I was going to use Ketchup to represent the Letter K....OK, OK, so what if I used Catsup for the Letter C. But really don't you just love how much mileage I can get out of a bottle of tomato paste?
Instead I'm using a Kangaroo. Can you believe the Kangaroo is the mascot for oldest High School here in Killeen? There are four high schools, and only one mall!
The first one, Killeen High School has Kangaroos for a mascot. They refer to themselves as the 'Roos. Yeah, I would too.
The news no one else will tell you....because tonight it's all about Ohio.
Leroy and Forrest Raffel opened the first Arby’s in Boardman, Ohio on July 23, 1964. Since that's the year Grandma J was born graduated from high school, she is a huge fan of Arby's....and because of that and other random facts, she wants you to have this coupon.yes, it's real....click and print.
It's for the new "Hey, Where's My Burger, Dude" sandwich. Ok, so it's not called that, but for those of you who love add-ons, this just might be your sandwich burger!
Grandma J had one her way....."ummm, I would like it dry, without the mustard and catsup...and can you leave the cheese, lettuce and tomato off? Also, can I have a packet of Arby's Sauce? Thank you".
So really, that translates into Grandma J having her Arby's Roast Beef sandwich just like she always has and always will.
So let's head on down the road a few miles.....all the way across the state of Ohio if you will.....
To put it in the words of my Grandmother, The City Council of Medina, Ohio is full of beans. Maybe they should have had an Arby's? I wonder....could it be those kids? How about the fat man on the left? What do you think?
So, what's new in your world?

C IS FOR.......
Cooking With Catsup
What? You say catsup is spelled ketchup or ketsup? Not according to everyone...like me. Not if today is the letter Cday.
World's Largest Catsup Bottle , located in Collinsville, Illinois, has a fan club with a website. Not only that.....they sponsor a car show called Cruzn' In Antiques. Watch it now...I can hear you saying to yourself..."she really doesn't have a life!"
Here is an old ad from the Brooks catsup people. Another site that should convince you that Catsup is spelled with a C is The Catsup Crapper. There you will find the cutest little Catsup video....check it out, you won't be sorry.
* The spelling catsup seems to have appeared first from the pen of Jonathan Swift, in 1730, according to the folks at wiki.
