Once again, Grandma J is getting her entry posted just under the wire.


Today has been a day of thunder, lightning, flooding and tornado warnings here in Central Texas.  None of these things have stopped Grandma J from taking her life in her hands  getting on the internet in the past.....but today Time Warner chickened out and cut service.  OK, they said they weren't responsible for the outage, they said it was Mother Nature....yeah right.

Either way, someone flooded Grandma J's yard!

Now, about those Gumdrops!

Besides the regular ones, there are these that just seem to glow....

Here's a cream cheese Gumdrop cake.  Click on the link for the recipe.   Grandma J might make this one day.

Mostly simple things....nothing big, but yet to Grandma J, miraculous just the same......



Like a strawberry Fruitista from Taco Bell when it's 102 degrees at eight o'clock in the evening. I sip things like this slowly.....savoring the luxury of this refreshment.

Some rain to quench the weeds the parched earth.....but be careful what you ask for. Praying for lots of rain can be taken much too literally. Just saying.







Of course, any body of water, big or small, brings out the neighbor kids.






And of course Phillip Johnny Bob is a follower, not a leader! Just giving the neighbors one more thing to talk about.
