A to Z Monday

This week's letter is O as in Octopus

Here is an assortment of Octopi or whatever plural word you choose. You can read all about the three hundred different types of Octopus here. All octopuses are venomous, but only the small blue-ringed octopuses are deadly to humans.

Here's what it looks like....stay away from this one. That's all I'm saying.

Brought to you by A to Z Mondays. Won't you join us?

Those last two must be rare, for I've never seen them in the wild ;) I have a great book called The Deep that's full of great photos of deep sea creatures. My favorite is the Dumbo Octopus. In fact, I think I'll post a picture tomorrow on the blog..

this is a great O word. You are becoming so informative, you may have to change the title of your blog..."Just listen to Grandma J"

The blue circly one is cute. That hot pink one scared the bejesus out of me. Did an octopus eat a baby???

Outstanding photos; original. Ominous yet optimistic.

Does the "J" stand for Jacques Cousteau?

my lasting memory of an octopus, the giant one that attacked the nautilus in 20,000 leagues under the sea... (i know it was a squid, but they, the squid and octupus, are close enough for government work....)

They are very beautiful creatures! Especially the one that looks like a baby : ). You know it's mommy has to love it VERY much. How stinking sweet is that. I have to think of an N this week. N is hard. I asked Gary what I should do and you wouldn't believe what N he said. Negro. Except the slang for that. He is so silly! How did I find him Grandma J? You know one thing I love about him? We both had Gary's for husbands. : ). Yep. That is one of my favorite things!
