THE SEASON FOR CLASS REUNIONS
...or is my tummy tuck showing?
Class reunions are as popular as bungee jumping this time of year. You don't bungee jump? OK then maybe as popular as
My daughter her in Texas is going back to Southern California for her twentieth reunion.
The one my daughter is going to has something Friday night...maybe it's s happy hour/cocktail hour meet and greet thing, then Saturday is a day at the beach, Saturday night is a huge dinner dance on the Queen Mary, then Sunday is Family Picnic or something.
Now, my twentieth was a one night affair. Everyone showed up at the school gym.
They danced the night away to La Bamba, and Dance With Me Henry by Brenda Lee.
Of course look who shows up with her fancy shmancy camera? Like it's not as though we all didn't know she was a party crasher.
And how embarrassing is this? There's one in every crowd, I swear!
There's always the group picture....that's what memories are made of...
And after everyone goes their separate way.Nowadays, my high school has a huge picnic in the park for all years to attend. Yeah, they go off in little groups of "their own", but it's fun. Well, I don't go, but I heard it was fun.

I am not a big reunion fan. I liked all the people kind of...but there was this one boy i loved. I mean LOVED so much it would make you cry. And he didn't love me back. Ever. And since there were only 30 people in my class, chances are good that he would show up. I just don't want to see him. It is too wierd. Still- 15 (OH MY GOSH, I AM SO OLD!) years later!
I dragged my husband to my ten year reunion, proceeded to drink too much wine (because I was nervous and had no "off" switch" and make a COMPLETE ASS out of myself. One classmate was telling me how he had just joined the Marines and was leaving soon for Quantico, and I said (very loudly) "They're sending you to Cuba?" (Got it mixed up with Guantanamo. How brilliant am I?)
Not one of my finer moments. I think I might skip number 20.
OMG, are those the bladders for that incontinence commercial? They tell quite a story don't they?
I had a great time at my reunion...after I went out and re-bought my outfit that I left exactly 395 miles away....in the bag on my living room floor! The Queen Mary was fun...your daughter will love it with the wonderful weather in So.Cal right now.
So far there has been a 10yr., 15 yr., and 20yr reunion. I have yet to attend one. Just not that interested. Maybe the next one I will attend the drinking festivities day only. I didn't hang with them in school, I doubt I want to over 20yrs. later. (For the most part I hung out with people that graduated before me)
The things you can do with your pictures!!!!
I am going to my 20 year this fall. I am hoping I don't get as drunk as I did at my 10 year and throw up in the back seat of my car again...fingers crossed!
You are just a riot! Those pictures crack me up.
I didn't go to my 10 year because I was in a wedding. My 20 is about 4 years away (holy cow!). Who knows about that one.
Good post!
