I WAS A BAD GIRL
......a really bad girl

OK, I'm not going to beat around the bush. I'm gonna confess and then hang my head in shame because I....well, I didn't go see Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants II at the movies. That's because I didn't go to the movies. No, not at all. I did pull into the parking lot, and I was about forty minutes early...so I wandered next door and accidently bought this......

Then Paul tried desperately to showed me how to use it. Three hours later, I had to say good-bye to Paul.

Because I had to rush out to pick up my granddaughter, who needed a ride to the school by four! In utter confusion I went to the high school to pick her up...I know, I was supposed to pick her up at home, then take her to the high school. So she called me....on my new phone....and I didn't know how to answer it until the third call! because the only thing I wanted to learn was how to do this.

When the phone rang, I realized I forgot what Paul said about the phone function....Baby Jesus, help me!

And on top of it all, did I mention that it was pouring rain all afternoon? Texas style...
Cortney knows what I'm talking about.

Tomorrow is another day. I promise to see the movie and report back. And this is where I ask for your forgiveness. Pretty please?

You sound like John Edwards with all these inconsistencies. (and btw, isnt "John Edwards" also the name of that psychic-tv-talking-to-dead-people-do-you-know-someone-with-a -warm-energy-whose-name-starts-with -a-D-or-a-C guy??)

I thought you were too poor to buy a camera, and now you have gone and purchased some fancy phone/computer/camera/texting device/electronic calendar/combo. No sympathy here when you are asking for donations to your CRUISE FUND, or you SAY YOU CANT AFFORD TO COME OUT AND SPEND 'GRANDPARENTS DAY' WITH YOUR ABANDONED GRANDCHILDREN WHOSE ONE JOY IN LIFE IS VISITING THEIR GRANDMOTHER!

And, what, in the name of all that is good, were you and "Paul" doing for 3 hours, if you didnt even learn to answer the phone?

Geesh.

PS. I heard there is a new movie about "retarded" people, and some groups want to boycott..might be a good movie for you to review.

I will be in CA for three weeks...I can't help it if for the first time in five years the school decides to have GP day at the end of October instead of the middle of Sept! Something is fishy!!
I can't come twice! I will arrange for visit time with the teachers. I have plans for the kids that will be more exciting than 30 minutes in the classroom. Maybe Catalina or a trip on the train to SD. We also have a sleepover at a hotel planned without parents, which is a high level treat in itself! BIG TIME.
BTW, my phone was almost free with my new contract...and it's NOYB.

I was going to comment on the movie (or lack there of) post, but after reading your comments, I'm going to comment on those.

Ha! You two are fun-ny. I too was wondering how three hours went by with out learning how to answer the phone, and who's Paul?

That's a great phone! Free you say?

Maybe there was a reason behind on all this. Maybe somebody out there really wants you to see Pineapple Express instead. :)

Pumpkin, Paul is the Customer Service Professional at ATT. Believe me we just scratched the surface in three hours. It's a long story...making four phone calls from my car after leaving Paul in a huff. Then once I resolved a "small misunderstanding that Paul had" I went back in to a better educated Paul. The phone wasn't free...ALMOST free.

No, I have a commitment to see the sisterhood. But I also want to see Pineapple Express!!

That's okay..happens to all of us..

Awesome phone. You have to let me know if it gets easier to use. I need a new one and my contract has been up for eons, but its so hard for me to learn a new phone. I still haven't found where the periods are for text messaging and I've had this one for over two years. Sad, right?

You are nuts and no I'm not quite sure what rain is because I haven't seen any of it in fifty years!

Ummm...what we really need to know is...is Paul cute? is he single? Does he need a girlfriend in Austin? ...AND why didn't you take a picture with him like you do everyone else. Three hours and a blog post about him kind of made it a requirement that ya'll took a picture together!

Can't wait to hear about the pants!

ohnooo! Texting is addicting. It will interfere with blogging when you can be sending your grandkids messages asking them 'do u wanna go 4 iceream?' and such!

PS...that was my anonymous post, by accident.

Cool phone!

I just learned how to text message. I feel so grown up now!

Nick,
Im sorry, but I have 3 children that had their hearts set on taking their grandma to "Grandparents Day" at school. And now, they are gradnparent-less (they do have grandparents in GA, but Grandparents Day was always Grandma J's gig.)

AND, this is Beauty's first year! The past 4 years, GJ went with Pooper and Beauty has always loooonged to go to Kindergarten, so that GJ can come with her to Grandparents Day...now what?? GJ is in TX, apparently spending her money on fancy electronics, and my kids will probably be the only kids at school without a grandparent....

unless, Nick, you would like to come to CA and accompany them.

Thank you Nick!
