A Promise Is A Promise.....

And so, when I said I'd waste devote a good portion of my time sharing gift ideas with you, I wasn't kidding. I've been posting items at the bottom of my post, but.....today I have something special. Something that deserved a post of it's own.

I want to feature a special gift for the men in your life....and if you are anything like me, you have several men to lavish gifts on. Personally, I have one son and three son-in-laws, and thankfully sadly, only one lives close by.

Now, normally I don't get too excited about finding the right gift because the men's colognes that were so eagerly embraced in the seventies are looked upon with disdain and involuntary gagging a lukewarm "thank you".

I remember when men loved the scent of Hai Karate. Do you remember the commercial when women attacked Regis Philbin and Joey Bishop when they splashed this stuff on?

And Jade East....don't even go there. It's not working for today's man.

BUT, I found the perfect gift for those men in your life.....

I dare any man to turn his nose up at Flame Body Spray! The new fragrance from BK.

That's right, Burger King! And this is what the ad says:

"Flame," a new men's body spray that sports a hint of "flame-broiled" meat. It captures the essence of the Whopper and gives it to you.. Behold the scent of seduction, with a hint of flame broiled meat.

I love this whole search for the perfect gift feature....I'm gonna miss doing it.

HAAAAAA! (That's the way CBW says LOL. She uncouth like that.)

When I was a youngster I bought my favorite older man who I adopted as my grandfather Hai Karate! I thought it was grand. Him, probably not so much.

Oh, and Grandma J.....the strikethroughs in the first and second paragraphs are genius. You once again have me laughing out loud, this time after a long day's work and not able to see straight. Bravo!

This is too funny. I think Coach would like this...he still complains that Yankee Candle missed the boat by NOT making a candle that smells like BACON!!!
You crack me up.
Neither of us wear perfume/cologne. We naturally smell divine. Plus coach has the most sensitive nose in the world. Instant headaches....the story of my life. :)
You can carry this story line throughout the year...valentines day, fathers day, etc....

I used to wear this stuff called Halston, but I think that was in the eighties.

Seventies ... lets see ... British Sterling, Old Spice.

I'm with coach on the whole bacon candle thing too.

Why didn't I think of that?? When our daughter was very small, she LOVED the way CB smelled when he had been cooking on the grill. She would go over and sniff him, and say, "Daddy. You smell like hot dogs." It was a HUGE compliment!! I still tell him that on occasion:)

LOL...that brings back memories.

I used to LOVE LOVE LOVE perfume and had an entire collection of different scents for different moods. Then I got married and my husband pitches a fit if I even have scented lotion on. I usually love Estee Lauder's.

Do you remember the commercials? Oh, my...the memories that have flashed over. I think I wore something from Avon in the 70's...Cotillion...Wow? where did those memories come from?

I remember when Drakar was the frangance in the late 80s. I prefer the smell of a man to any cologne, a clean man that is.

I just about peed my pants laughing! Gary would LOVE this since he LOVES Whoppers and all things red meat-ish : ).

I think you can still do your gift segment! I mean, there is Valentines Day, Easter, Mothers Day, Fathers Day, Birthdays.... Etc, Etc.

I like cologne. Gary barely ever wears it. Sometimes we squirt some on Kaish when he needs to have a really good day at school! We call it Be Good Power Spray: ).
