I Totally Care....

That's what Procter and Gamble wants me to tell you....

You see Grandma J is such a sucker using the new Total Care Tide. I was just getting used to the Mountain Breeze Tide, after dumping the Tide w.Febreze because it was better than the one with Downy.

I'm almost convinced that this is the Tide for me because it has seven signs that it's superior to any other Tide:

1. Cleans Thoroughly..the other 46 Tides didn’t?
2. Protects colorfrom the color bandit
3. Preserves shape….may I ask who’s?
4. Maintains finish….um for how long?
5. Enhances Softness….let the enhancing begin
6. Prevents Pillsor in my case spills
7. Fights stainsI love a good stain fight

In case this wasn't enough good Tidings, the good people who bring you Tide to clean your clothes, want to make sure your washing machine is clean too. So like, how does a washing machine get dirty? Yeah, you can mess up the outside, but the inside? Well, fear not, this is what you need.

Tide Washing Machine Cleaner! It does these three things to make your wahing machine nice and spiffy.

1. Fights odor-causing residues by going to the source of the odor.
2. Penetrates and lifts the residues
3. Freshens your washer, while leaving behind a crisp, clean scent.

You have to run a full cycle with hot water....is that green?
Does anyone use this stuff? Does anyone plan on trying it?

I haven't heard of it, probably because I buy whatever is on sale, but I will say this: Yes, it is very possible for the inside of your washing machine to get dirty, and when I say "your" of course I mean "only mine."

I've had to scrub the inside of my machine a few times, because my DH will wash his greasy jeans, isn't that nice of him, and put in a huge load, and not near enough soap, so the grease builds up near the top, so it isn't easy to see. (Is that an awful sentence, or what!) Anyway, I learned a long time ago, first of all, I try to keep up with his wash, and if he does do a load, to check the machine. I've had grease transfer to my 'personal's', and that isn't nice.

Maybe I'll have to look for this product, but Scrubbing Bubbles work really well too!

I've gone 27 years without having a specific washing machine cleaner, I think I'll live without that one! Definitely a huge waste of water!!!

Doesn't the washing machine wash itself? I mean, helloooo?

Funny...I love your 7 signs.
I always use the most concentrated liquid. That means less plastic to recycle. Less plastic to be made. *green*
I have never heard of the washing machine cleaner. I think it is a waste of money, resources to make it and of course the hot water. :)
My 2 cents.

You know I can honestly say I've never given one thought to the possibility that the inside of my washing machine could get dirty. So no, not going to purchase it.

Now if they ever make a detergent which can soften jeans that have hung on the line outside to dry, well then I'm on that bandwagon with spurs.

I get that the clothes you put in are dirty, but doesn't the hot water and soap clean everything? Don't waste your money, I say.

I am far too much on a budget to be buying soap for the inside of the washing machine, to use it to clean the inside already.

And people think, people that don't work have nothing to do.............don't they know the decisions we face EVERYDAY???
I'm just trying to get my laundry done once a week and now I have to clean the washer too!!!
OH the Humanity!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I can't find the bottom of my laundry basket... is there a bottom? I think not. I do have a front load washer, and they did tell me I should use this special cleaner thingy that they only sell at best buy, but I am pretty sure that Whirlpool makes it which means I probably don't need it, it's just a gimmick.... but there must be a reason to buy it... wait where is the bottom of my laundry basket again?

I'm neither. I'm another Grandma J from Needham Massachusetts. I read you every day, but I have just gotten bold enough to comment. So, um...my question is what's up wiht your exotic looking grandchildren? I only ask, because this Grandma J has an adopter exotic looking daughter (Cape Verdean/white), who in turn has an even more exotic looking daughter. (Cape Verdean/white/Thai/Mexican!)

I love it when someone actually asks grandma j a question!

Janet, I don't know which grandkids look exotic to you...but I'll start with my oldest child and work down.

The three blonde blue eyed towheads are exotic in their own right, and are Irish Italian, French English and a bit Scottish.

My son's children are Italian, French, Irish, Hispanic and Native American.

My middle daughter's children are Italian, French Irish, Filipino, and African American.

My youngest daughter's children are Italian French, Irish and African American.

When I get together with my four children, their spouses and my grandchildren we all sing kumbaya! We make a lively bunch for sure.

Thank you for de-lurking! I'm originally from RI and have tons of cousins in your neck of the woods!
