The Letter J

I Thought I would use a Celtic Letter J since tomorrow is St. Patrick's Day. The Celts are famous for using knots, leaves and serpents in their artwork. I did a cross stitch of the Celtic letter J several years ago, and it's stored away somewhere. Every year I'm reminded to dig it out and get it framed...maybe this is the year.

But hey, let's get on with some fun stuff beginning with the letter J.

here's something I saw yesterday in my daughter's neighborhood....

June Bug! June Bug the Clown!

This is Blue Bell, June Bug's sidekick and granddaughter. They clown around at parties. Mostly children's parties....but not limited to children's parties.

She sort of brushed me off, like time is money but not before giving me her card. Actually she gave me two cards and told me to give one to a friend, and to spread the word about her business. For that reason, I'm giving all of you her card...right click on the picture to enlarge. If it's clowning you're looking for, June Bug just might be for you.

I wonder if I can get my granddaughter to go into clown business with me. Maybe JJ or Phillip Johnny Bob?

If June Bug travels, maybe we can hire him/ her for the Blog Fest.

I mean this as a compliment even though it's not going to sound like one: I think Grandma J. would make a fantastic clown. Maybe if you start practicing now, you can put on a show for us at Blog Fest.

Seriously, I can see you visiting nursing homes and/or children in the hospital, etc. (Not that you could bring JJ to the hospital, but PJohnny Bob could go).

Clowning probably pays better than blogging, that's just a guess.

I think you would make a great clown GJ! You know they have clown schools you can go. Hell you could teach the class!

OK, here's the let down people...clowns give me the heebee geebees. Everything about circuses do. As a kid they gave me nightmares. I have never hired one even for my kids, and I wouldn't ever be one.

See how June Bug doesn't make eye contact? Clowns are scarey ....even Hobo Kelly.

Of course that doesn't mean my life hasn't been called a circus by many over the years.

For some reasons clowns have always scared the bejesus out of me. Don't really know why?

Wait, did Marlene just say she wanted to be a clown? Phil was born at Build a Bear. The one at Downtown Disney.

I like some clowns, but honestly, June Bug is creepy to me. I didnt get that "happy" feeling.

Grandma J could never be a clown, because I know she would end up laughing so hard at herself, that she would pee her pants.

Surprised this post wasnt all about J. J.

Such vivid photos! Junebug is definately a clown.I'm with you as far as clowns;they kind of creep me out too. Weird, cuz the pastor yesterday mentioned that he didn't like them either. Is clownaphobe a word?!

I have several friends who are clowns(I mean don't we all?), but only one who clowns professionally - it takes a special personality to pull it off successfully, I think.

Sorry, but I think clowns are CA-REEPY!! Did you ever read "IT", by Stephen King?

Coulrophobia is an abnormal or exaggerated fear of clowns. Get over it people!

I can't say I'm afraid of clowns, but just like skunks, I don't have any desire to be around one.

Now seriously Grandma J, you would be a FANTABULOUS clown. I can just imagine the joy you would bring to so many families. I also think it would provide TONS of blogging posts : ). I don't think your grandaughter would do it with you though...just a hunch. HSH kids would probably LOVE to do that with you though. So would Kaish : ). So feel free to let me know when you move to Philly and I will drum up some BIG business for you!
