The Grand Finale....
......the winding down of an excellent road trip

Grandma J has a ton of stuff to share with her blisters and blogster friends about her excellent road trip.   Events like terrorist attacks and holidays have caused her to jump, skip and  hopscotch around the whole docu-drama, but nothing can make her forget how much you are  hoping she'll forget the whole blasted trek dying to hear about the rest of the journey.

So let's continue, shall we?

Since there are a ton of family interactions, Grandma J is going to skip over them for the time being, and share her last day on the road with you first.   Just pretend we are traveling  backwards in time....

After Grandma J left Tucson AZ, the home of Sonora style Mexican food, and an over population of Javalina's, she trekked 582 miles to the town of  Fort Stockton, TX for the night.

The next day she spent some time looking around Ft. Stockton and came across Paisano Pete, the world's largest roadrunner.

Grandma J was almost too shy to ask some total strangers to take her picture with Paisano Pete!

Just like years ago, she was almost too shy to ask a total stranger to take her picture with Paul Bunyon and Babe the Ox in Klamath CASome things about Grandma J never change!

Then it was back on the road......and  321 miles later....home!!!!

coming attractions include wayward shopping carts, race cars, and odd food choices.

Love these pictures. I want to know more about Paisano Pete. Where were Crusty and PJB when Paisano Pete was lurking? I'll bet they were scared to death.

Speaking of being scared to death, are you sure that's a tail on Babe the Blue Ox?

Ha!!! this reminds me of the movie Michael with John Travolta--on the road trip back to Chicago he has to stop and see worlds largest frying pan and ball of twine.

I can't wait to hear about the rest of your trip!

The Salesman ALWAYS offers to take someone's picture when we travel. He says people want their picture taken together and they are "to shy to ask."
