Some Potpouri

.....or  spending  a slice of time, on a typical day with Grandma J

Of course you all know that Grandma J gets up when the crow honks.  Then she braves temperatures in the 20's to garner a spot in line at Mc D's to pick up breakfast for her granddaughter.  The order is always the same...one number 8 with apple juice, por favor.

Grandma J hates it with a passion when the person in the car in front of her has issues with the amount of creamer in their coffee.   It just makes Grandma J want to reach for her three iron scream  bloody murder!

Normally Grandma J pulls right into the drivway in front of the house and lets JJ come for the ride...but on mornings that she has a full plate, she pulls  up by the side driveway so JJ doesn't see her car and go bananas.

After dropping off her Granddaughter at school this morning, Grandma J heads on over to the Post Office to mail a huge box of Christmas presents to Andrew, Beauty and Little One...and their parents.

Do people dress like this at the Post Office everywhere?  Or is it just Walmart and Texas?  and yes, I know, post office shouldn't be capitalized...except here in Central Texas where it's more like a theme park.

Oh, and this package that arrived in the mail?  The one someone opened my mistake?  Some of you nosey snoops asked what was inside......

Sweet Pea!   Everything Sweet Pea, from Bath and Body Works

Now please excuse me.....there's some trouble brewing in the 'hood.

My mother once went into a McDonald's and asked if the fish in the fried fish sandwich was fresh. No lie. Can we get a GAH? Oh, and I'm telling JJ.

Ooo-ah! Of course, that package means you have to take a bath. I don't take baths.....only showers!

The post office is a Theme park? Did you have to pay to enter?????
You are so funny. I would love to spend a day with you in real life...seems so much more fun than my life. :)

Oh, Grandma J., this is a good one. From the Post Office theme park to the artwork at the end.

I cannot WAIT to hear about the trouble in the 'hood!

p.s. You really, seriously, need to consider doing stand-up comedy. I'm not lying. Do they have amateur night or open -mike nights where you are? Because if not, we have a semi-real comedian here in Mathews who does local night clubs, and I could hook you right on up.

Trouble, huh? What are those three up to now? I gotta go make sure my doors are locked! ;-)
Go take a bath with all that Sweet Pea stuff! That is my favorite fragrance of theirs!

They dress up just like that to come to my classes. It's the first job where I would be overdressed if I went there naked.

Has the trouble in the 'hood been resolved now?

Santa frowns on trouble in the 'hood...just so they know!

I had the children from hades behind me at the post office yesterday. I've made a mental note to avoid that place until after Christmas!!!!

What a wonderful post : ) I love your typical day. The only thing I don't love about it is that you are so far away : ). You know, since I want you to be in our family too : )

On a funny note. the other day I FORGOT that I was still in my pajamas and went to the post office. I have no idea how you can forget something like that. I think a normal person would have gone home, but I decided to just go ahead in and get it over with since I knew I would be busy later. I didn't notice anyone looking at me funny although I am sure they did!
