Once Upon a Time...
...a little boy, not quite three years old was diagnosed with leukemia.
He went throught all kinds of chemo for over three years.
He endured lumbar punctures regularly....
And cranial radiation on his little head.....
There were times his life depended on him being fed trough a tube...
But today, as a nine year old survivor and my hero .....
He was tapped into St Baldrick's Knights of the Bald Table...
And had his head shaved, along with raising over $500 $600 for pediatric cancer.

Three HUGE cheers for Andrew. He's a brave, generous young man who, no doubt, will accomplish many great things in his life. He's already inspired so many of us with the way he handled his battle against leukemia and its aftermath. I'm so proud of him!

Thanks for all the of kind words and generous contributions.
Andrew had a great time...and raised over $1000...(some people donated with checks, and they arent online)
The little girl "knighting" him, has a form of cancer that has no cure...I hope the money that was raised last night will allow her to grow up and thrive like Andrew is doing now.
Oh, he went through a lot. What a great kid!
What a wonderful brave spirit he is! A real hero.
What an amazing young man! I am so glad to see him now thriving. And have a large heart to give to others as well! Wonderful! WTG Andrew!

a very handsome hero!!
congrats on POTW
Beautiful (snif). Congratulations on the potw.
I was once telling some people about a girl I knew in high school who got an award for 12 years of perfect attendance, went on to Harvard, then med school, etc.
They said something like "Oh, don't you just hate people like that? What is she doing now?"
"She's a pediatric oncologist."
Didn't that shut 'em up.
back to say Congrats on POTW mention from Hilary
