From Hightops to Pom Poms and Stilettos

My beautiful, athletic granddaughter.....

Loved basketball, but .......

 She quit shooting hoops.

And  running track,  and winning metals galore....

Was not uncommon when she lived in Texas.

But last summer the family up and moved to Arizona.  All of a sudden, like almost overnight, but not quite......

She traded in her athletic gear for varsity cheer leading.    The cool part is, it's at her Dad's Alma Mater in AZ.  JJ and I can hardly wait to visit and go to the homecoming game again this year and watch her cheer.

But......tonight it's all about the dress and the stilettos......

                                                           It's prom night.

And she's going with the girls.

XOXO Grandma J

What a well rounded young lady she is. SHE looks beautiful...love that she is also going with a gaggle of girls!
I imagine you miss seeing those kiddos on a daily basis. I LOVED living in AZ though, and I hope they are enjoying it as well.

Wow-what a knock-out granddaughter you have there. It's hard to even see what the other girls look like when she's around. She's beautiful and so are they! Seems like the move to Arizona was a good thing for her, and I hope, the whole family.

I know you'd like to be closer geographically. My little ones live 4 hours away, but it used to be 11 hours away. The 4 hours is a tough thing--but 11 would really hurt! Of course, as long as they are happy--how could I complain?
