Most Wonderful FAVORITE Award

This award was given to my by Grandma Nina. It humbles me anytime another blogger includes me in their circle of favorites.


These are the rules in accepting this award:

Now, everyone except Grandma Nina knows that Grandma J is notorious for being a rule breaker. I know, it's not only shameful, but it's close to sinful to even admit it.

Grandma J loves so many blogs and bloggers....all the way from the silly to the logical, even if she has no clue about logic, she knows plenty about silly.

So, with all this rambling.....what she really means is she wants to share this award with all her friends. Don't worry about feeling worthy...I didn't. Just grab it and run, but while you're at it, stop by and say "hi" to Grandma Nina!

TWICE AS NICE


Recently two different bloggers bestowed the coveting Lemonade Award on Grandma J. I'm humbled when this happens....not that I've ever gotten the same award from two different bloggers before.

Tabitha, at I Choose Bliss, gave me this award last week when I was line dancing with Soupy Sales on the West Coast. Tabitha has just about the biggest warmest heart in the whole world. Check out her blog and you will be in awe of all the wonderful acts of kindness she does.

Then today, my BBFIA Hula Hank, bestowed the same award on me because he is infatuated with women who have large bladders long eyelashes. And for those of you who think you know me well, please don't ruin Hula Hank's image of Grandma J....no matter! Hank lives in Australia and has several Wallabies that come to his backdoor step every morning for breakfast.

I actually had breakfast with Hank one morning too....but not on his backdoor step. Hank was kind enough to invite several family members and this mutual blogger friend, and this one too.... along for the purpose of creating a party atmosphere...in the heart of LA.

Believe me when I tell you this...I hate being recognized with awards almost as much as I hate having to pick new recipients. It just makes me want to reaffirm your suspicions that I'm wonderful feel unworthy to the point of telling you all the reasons why I should never be awarded stuff....unless it's cash ice cream.

So here is what I want to do... I want to award this Lemonade Blogger Award to everyone west of the Rockies. Come get your award, and re-award it to your favorite bloggers.

She Let Me Have It!

Suz over at Day By Day....My Life As A Busy Bee, bestowed an award on me.


It's the One Sweet Blog Award. I can hear your mumbling to yourself, "What was Suz thinking?" Well, I for one think Suz is very intuitive. And I thank her for this honor.

If you've never visited Suz's blog, please do! She's a wife, and a mom with two dogs, a cat or five, and God knows how many tropical pets like gators, iguanas and frogs. She loves her home, car, cell phone and nails. Her bathroom is to die for, or at least it will be when they get all 42 shower heads synchronized to music. Did I mention that Suz is anal loves a clean orderly home?

Well, enough from me, go check out her blog for yourself...and please DO NOT leave any finger prints on her highly polished black bedroom furniture.....

One thing Suz has pointed out to the whole blogging world me, is that I'm too lazy to personally pass on awards. I usually leave it up to you, my reader to come get it if you want it. This time I'm going to pick one recipient who I think is sweet...that's right, just one.

I want to give the One Sweet Blog Award to my friend Cool Breeze over at Cool Breeze Musings. He is fairly new at blogging, and his blog covers a plethora of subjects. Don't ya just love the word plethora?

BRILLANTE BLING

I was surprised and honored yesterday to receive the coveted Brillante Weblog Premio 2008 Award from fellow blogger, My Second Journal. I must really deserve this award because this is the second one I've gotten. I feel special...very special. But if you want special....visit My Second Journal, you will get hooked like I did.

Now, about the award...here are the rules.

I was just awarded my first ever Blog Award...the Arte Y Pico Award. Katrine at Squibs and Crackers bestowed this blog award on me. I don't know what Arte Y Pico means, but I must deserve it, right? Thank you, Katrine!

1. Kim from Heart Shaped Hedges because she encouraged me to blog, I love the way she blogs with substance and humor, and oh yeah, she's my daughter.

2. Cortney from The Cortney Chronicles because she actually commented on other blogs, tell me to start blogging.

3. Marey from Elemento-P. I knew Marey before I started my blog and she also encouraged me. She is by far the world's best kindergarten teacher ever!

4.Chesapeake Bay Woman from Life in Mathews. This woman is as funny as they get, yet she blogs about the beauty and serenity of a place far away from the stress most of us live with.

5. Rebeckah from Life With Kaishon. Because she named me one of her favorite blogs writes with humor and an upbeat sense of how to live life as a mom.

FOOLERY'S THURSDAY CHALLENGE

One of my favorite bloggers is Laurie at foolery. Her blog is one of the first ones I read every morning, and today she had a challenge. The challenge is to give an award to three newer bloggers. The fun part is, you just make up any award you want...silly, serious or down right mean just plan interesting, and bestow it on some unsuspecting soul.

I'm taking your challenge, Laurie.

My first award should go to one of two bloggers, and since Laurie can't participate, I present the coveted BEST MORNING READ AWARD to the two sistah's at Holy Crappers. Relocated from Philly to the Florida Panhandle, these sistah's talk about their garden, beer, offspring, beer, boyfriends, and guess what? Beer! Keep it coming!! My next award is my HOT BLOGGER AWARD, presented to Madame x at Letter W. Madame x is chili pepper hot in more ways than one. Her humor is cutting edge, and if anyone can make me laugh she can. She also has no problema, calling out any TV news anchors with potty mouths.
My final award is the prestigious FAMILY SANITY AWARD, to Kim at heart shaped hedges. OK, you busted me, Kim is my daughter...but seriously, she knows more parenting blogs than I do. She blogs about issues that other mom's care about like poop, laundry, kids groups, breastfeeding and childhood cancer. I know she will be a better judge of just who this award should go to next.
