DUST YOUR BOOTIES

.......or bootie your dust.

I love new products, and when I see something on TV that looks interesting I make a mental note to make sure Vince from ShamWow isn't pitching it check it out.

This morning I saw these.......

Duster Mop Slippers
They looked like they might do the job. You know, I could just slide and shimmy along the kitchen floor to get my coffee refills in the morning....then slide into the bathroom to go potty and stuff....and my floors would be clean...Swiffer be damned!

The more I thought about them, the more convinced I was that they might just do the trick. How on earth could these be a gimmick?

Now this pair, with a bit of pledge could make my tables look pretty good. Just jump on up and skate around on top of them. Of course if I had a zillion sq. feet of hardwood floors like
Heart Shaped Hedges, I'd buy a couple pairs. I think these are the ones I want. Because I don't have a housekeeper like Pumpkin.

I don't have any little babies or I might be tempted to get these....

Do you think people really get Baby Duster Booties? For their babies? For real?

do they take off SHARPIE??

Feel free to get my some for Christmas...and My Honey too (trust me, they would get more use than the Talking George Bush Doll and William Hung CD...both of which you have given to him as gifts in previous years!)

saw the SHAM WOW commercial on tv today, thought of you!

Now I feel the need to explain myself...

My comment posted twice, so I deleted one. I didnt want you to think I wrote something sassy or used foul language, or regretted my post....it was the same post as the first, and blogger hiccupped and it ended up posting twice.

but, I will take this time to mention, that we would prefer the nice, store-bought slippers, as opposed to the home-knitted type.

That could be fun, sliding around dusting the floors. I'd be afraid of getting all that dust on my carpet.

Somehow or another, this whole concept seems like more work to me. I have so much dirt, cat hair, dust and tumbleweeds in my house that mine would be a marathon skating session.

No, I think I'll pass on the pedimop.

I do like the pair you picked out, though. And nice outfit, by the way.

Who cares if they clean, they look comfy !!

LMAO. What, do you dip them in preferred cleaning solution then go to work running around the kitchen? And those trouble spots? Too much added work for me.
Let me know how they work for you tho. hehe.

Honestly, these all look like they will make someone fall. Get good grippy slippers @ Walmarty for fall/winter use. Just mop and dry.

I think these are brilliant. I wouldn't have enough space to use them on though. I also think a Talking George Bush doll and a William Hung CD are great gift ideas. : ) Thanks for some inspiration!

OK, I can't let everyone think I gave my son-in-law a George Bush Talking doll, and a William Hung CD (of Christmas Carols) for Christmas. They were stocking stuffers. Just a little extra something!

...Well if you're gonna dust tables with 'em you could just do a lil' jig' while you're at it and maybe earn a lil' money on the side...I'm not implying that you would even consider bein' a table dancer at all GJ...I'm just sayin' is all... ;o)

...I saw those on Oprah. It was actually a kid that came up with the idea and invented the first ones - cute idea!

...Blessings... :o)

Keep some in your entry hall for guests. No sense doing all the cleaning yourself.
Besides, with all the new men in your life you can have the cleanest floors in Texas.

This is too funny. I saw these and thought, "No one would ever try that."
I stand corrected. yet again.

Hmmm! I just might have some kids if I can put dust booties on them and put them to work. (Just kidding)

When I do clean my house, before the housekeeper and when she is out-of town-I put old socks on my feet and then run my feet along my baseboards. It sure saves all the up-and-down with a rag and pledge.
I had not thought about the floors and tables though. Sounds like fun. Did you order them?

Jason, as himself said...

It seems like they would just smear the dirt and dust around, and not really clean.

Please try them and let us know.

Jason, they are microfiber..the stuff that dust clings to. the Swiffer is basically a paper version of microfiber that captures the dust and stuff.

I was hoping you would get a pair and let me know how you like them before I make the investment. I think that's what HSH is getting for Christmas.

Those look awesome...but it seems to good to be true!

please, get me some, get some for My Honey, get some for the kids....Lord knows they dont need any more toys or messy craft things.....and, I like the idea of having a few extra pairs by the door for guests, might as well make themselves useful during their visit.

Do they make them for pets? I think that would really work...as long as they took them off before going out the dog door.
