DOUBLE DUTY

I had a feeling Game 5 would be cancelled due to rain...but nope..a little bit of a delay here and there...with some work by the grounds crew, and then it was "PLAY BALL"

It looked like the Phillies had it wrapped up, then in the top of the sixth inning, the Rays scored....tying it up, 2-2.

The umpires called a rain delay around 10:30 PM, and the infield was covered...I don't know, it's after 11 PM, and the rain isn't letting up.

*****UPDATE*****

Game 5 will resume in the bottom of the sixth inning Tuesday on FOX at 8 p.m. ET, weather permitting.

So, when the Fat Lady sings, you know it's in the bag.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
I really got caught up in what could be the final game, and yet I was also watching Monday Night Football...and Dancing With The Stars.
I have to say, DWTS was extremely boring. I know, it was probably just me. I mean, I was really into both games.
When they got around to the Olde School Hip Hop group dance, I tried to give it my undivided attention....Then Cloris came bouncing out with a boom box the size of New Hampshire on her shoulder!
I love the woman, and there is so much to admire...but really, she's getting on my last raw nerve. I feel guilty saying that because I couldn't do what she does, and she's old enough to be my mother. Seriously, I try doing Richard Simmons, "Sweatin to The Oldies" vol 2, and after ten minutes I need a break.
It's sad, so sad because I really like her as an actress, and she's sweet. Please tell me I"m not the only one who feels this way?
**Now don't forget to submit a name for my little Bear. See him over there in the column on the right? The little slide show? The winner gets a huge Walmart gift card valued at $25. Contest ends this Friday at noon PDT.
You're not the only one.....I love Cloris too, but I think her time is coming to an end.
But Erica, I mean Susan did terrible, even Brooke (Miss Abs of steel) was not herself.
I agree...a disappointing night.
As I've said before, if I didn't read about it here, I'd have no idea what is going on with the world series. Thanks for the updates.
I'm pondering that name. If we could enter more than once, I'd submit one now and another one later. The one I have isn't great, and not even good, so I want to reflect some more.
I'll have plenty of time to think about it at work today and tomorrow.
In the meantime, I wonder how Mr. Bear would look trying to impersonate or interpret Cloris on Dancing with the Stars?
It is still raining like a bitch here at 7 am.
Hopefully it will clear up by tonight or at least so I can take the dog for a walk.
I don't have to watch DWTS because you do it for me...you are not mean to be nerved by Cloris. I hear she is a bit much. I may need to try the sweating to the oldies...don't know that I would make it past 10 minutes either.
GO RAYS!!!!
Have you tried Richard Simmons' Disco Sweat? It is hard!!!! But your dance moves really improve!
You're not the only one who feels that way about Cloris. In the beginning, she was funny. Now, it's kind of annoying. I do admire her for being on the show at her age, but there are much better dancers than her. Seems there are a lot of injuries this season.
Grandma J, I would like to invite you to come over and watch television with my husband. He would be SO pleased to have someone around who DIDN'T MIND WATCHING THREE SHOWS AT THE SAME TIME!!!!! And I thought HE was the only one who did that:)
Watched DWTS last night for the first time, I am glad to hear it was an off evening because it was bad. Cloris and Susan were awful.
I was more interested in my beloved COLTS, that were also bad.
The game is not going to be tonight for sure. It is SNOWING in Philly! Like huge snowflake snowing. I was so surprised just now when I was driving home from work. Kaishon, Sienna and Mila are all getting ready to submit bear names. Maybe tomorrow night. I hope you don't have any snow! Hugs!
I agree..it is time that Cloris goes home...she's adorable...funny as hell...but the Grandma has to be sittin on the sidelines now.
