Thank You Mr. President

I knew that President Obama would be signing several Executive Orders on his first day in office. Typically, that's what new presidents do. It's a kin to a dog marking their territory. but what surprised me, was the one he signed demanding the public's right to purchase certain consumer products without the exclusivity of one smart arse source.

He cut this guy off at the pass..... Oh wait! This is the wrong picture. This is him as a surfer dude...I really meant to post his picture as a pitch man. No, not Billy Mays, this guy.....

Yes, this guy....Vince the Sham Wow pitch guy with the Mohawk and crappy headset. Last June I did a review of the Sham Wow highly absorbent reusable towel things that were being pitched by Vince.

I have already stated up front that the Sham Wow isn't my paper towel or micro fiber cloth replacement. So this isn't a pitch for the product. But, for those of you who are hell bent sold on getting the product I just wanted you to know they are available here....

That's right, Tar-Jay now carries them.

They are still $19.99, but you don't pay shipping, which in some cases is more than the towels themselves.

There you have it....a Grandma J update on a "made for TV product" that is now available through a Presidential pardon Executive order......not.

Since we are on the subject of Target....watch the hilarious video following this post!

Ta ta....

Yes, I know - I bought a Ped Egg, which is that grater thing for your feet, at Tarjay and avoided those pesky shipping fees.

I don't think I've ever seen that Vince guy, but he looks like he needs to strap the feedbag on more often. Skeletor, anyone?

I saw the ped egg for 1/2 off at Kohl's. How is it?

The Ped Egg doesn't work. I bought one @ Walgreens.

Grandma J, my son bought Sham Wows yesterday!!! I was stunned and said he obviously didn't read your blog (even though it is bookmarked). This led to my son POURING water on my carpet pretending to be Vince from Sham Wow. He even made a bath mat. Jeezy.

Good Lord, I cannot stand that guy. Or the other guy. Or the shouting used car guys. Or the Head-On people.

Maybe I have a problem.

That video cracked me up...just what I needed this morning.
Still scared of the sham wow myself. If I put it in my washer...it will suck up all the water. Scared.

WOW! I got two reviews from one post....Sham-Wow & Ped Egg. Thank goodness I have purchased neither!!!!!

What do you think the Tarjay truck driver said when he realized what had just happened?? Bwahahaha!

They did a review of the Sham Wow on the news last night but I didn't get to see it. Hopefully they didn't approve of it.

I actually use the Ped Egg quite a bit, but I have feet tougher than door nails because I walk barefoot a lot - even in the cold weather outside. I'd say I use it once a week and it shaves off all kinds of unsavory layers of unnecessary, toughened up, ugly skin.

But I am weird, too, so take that with a grain of salt.

to the Pedi Egg people...I let the gal at the salon use the pedi egg once on my calloused feet, but within two days, my feet were rougher! I let them use the callous removing stuff and scrubber, nothing else. I smather my feet with body butter and put socks on once in a while, but that doesn't do much. I love being barefoot and will just live with the callouses.

Hollywood, You are a good mom. All parents should insist that my blog be required reading. I hope your son bought those sham wows at the store and not through Vince! At least he didn't have to pay shipping.

Suz.....I would love to find out if a bunch of sham wows would suck up all the water in a washing machine. Anyone want to try that experiment?

And Hollywood....The blogging world is still waiting for you to keep your New Years resolution.

Blogging seems to require lots of photo taking. I am skilled at much; but my photography skills are the pits. I will start emailing my real estate pictures.

He bought the Sham Wow @ a store---No shipping and handling. I wish I could video tape that kid imitating Vince.

I must be using my pedi-egg wrong. I also have the Mighty Putty and it was a Mighty Let Down. However, the Super Mend It looks awesome!!! haha

We have a Sham Wow. It won't. I have a ped-egg. And those Kinoki Detox foot pads. They see me coming and put all their junk at the end of the row. And I buy it. Sigh.

Why do people think these things work? Does anything on an infomercial work? I bought the Debbie Meyer green bags and they are only ok...

I like surfer dude...
