I'd Rather Be Sleeping.......

.....or eating, watching a movie, picking my toes or romping with JJ and Phil. Instead, I'm finally loading it up and moving it out. I don't get access to my suite at The Spa until Tuesday, but I finagled the garage door opener from the powers that be today.

So far, I've loaded up and schlepped six loads of stuff to the other side of town today.

This is the fifth load.....ready to leave the dock. I took a break to eat before taking it over to my garage because it was rush hour and a rush hour on a Friday, and a rush hour on a Friday before a holiday weekend. I really planned on making it my last load....but what fun would that be? So, at nine p.m., I decide to squeeze one more load into my schedule because it's supposed to rain tomorrow.

Now, I'm totally pooped! I took a nice shower, now I'm having a nice cold glass of milk. Does anyone else find ice cold milk refreshing? I poured the milk, put it in the freezer before my shower...and it was perfect when I got out.

I'm this tired

And, I'm almost this tired

Good Lord....I can't picture me doing this

But I think I've done this before.

Hilarious! The pictures, not the moving.

Can't wait to see what the spa and its grounds look like. Also the guest bedroom, aka my bedroom for when I come visit. Be sure to put the Alf lamp in that room.

I'll bet you are so excited about the new digs. I'm sorry you have soooo much work to do in the process but just think of the finished result. By this time next week hopefully you'll be all settled in and posting lots of pics. Have a great weekend and try to rest a little. ;)

I wish I could have flew in to help you for a day or two! WOW! That is a lot of work Grandma J. I hope you don't have to move any time soon! Praying for a restful (rainy) day today!

Thanks dear friends for your kind words and offers to help...HA! I do have men with a truck for the big stuff next week, and my wonderful daughter is taking a day off work to help with the smaller pieces of furniture on Tuesday (when I get the keys) because she has a huge SUV...you know, the kind Obama is outlawing because it isn't green. So who will help mov all the Grandma J's in the world in ten years?

JJ won't be coming to The Spa because he doesn't live with Grandma J, and he is unruly and disobedient. Give him one inch of an opening, and he's gone! He loves escaping, which is the very reason his current home is fortified. The good news is, Grandma J is moving closer to JJ's permanent digs.

Jason, as himself said...

Tell me again why you're moving again? I have a hard time understand peoples' reasons to move. Not even if it is a life or death situation.

Jason, I'm moving because I'm a gypsy.

I feel bad about all the manual labor you are subjected to. Funny how you have so much physical work now that you're retired. You know, opposed to all the years you got to sit on your back side. The irony of it all, right?

Oh, and I'm cancelling any trip to see you until you have The Spa ship shape.

i don't think there is anything more draining than moving grandma j. along with the physical stress, you got the emotional "depresion" of leaving the old place, along with the "euphoria" of getting in the new one! it all wears you out!!... p.s buy you and the whole grandma j clan a house warming gift for yourself, and say it is from me!!...

Once you get settled you need to go see Angels and Demons. It was really good. I'm fascinated by the whole pope selection process and there was a lot about that.
