 with a  REVIEW saga

Once upon a time...Grandma J went to see a movie matinee once a week.

Sometimes she brought a friend, most times she was too cheap to pay for two tickets or share her popcorn.

Then she decided toget fit, so she joined and aqua aerobics class, and started frolicking in the pool for two hours a day.

....and frolick she did.

But yesterday, she decided she'd see a really funny matinee after her aqua aerobics.  One hour in the pool was all she planned on because she decided to take a few minutes to follow a suggestion to spruce up her appearance.

She dyed her eyebrows....no kidding.   You're laughing, right?   I know you are, and that's OK.

Then, the dye wouldn't come off her FACE.....all day, all night.

Grandma J is telling you all this because she  didn't get to the matinee yesterday....she probably won't go to the pool today.

remedies?  suggestions?

Oh, Grandma J, you are just too funny! I'm glad I didn't have any coffee in my mouth.

Give your eyebrows a few days, and they will be fine. You know, you can buy eyebrow pencils at Wal-Mart for about $1.50 each. They really do a pretty good job, and it washes off!

I swear I did not laugh or even gasp!!!!

How about a face exfolliant? It will scrub off the excess dye.
Good luck!!!

Next time, if there is a next time .. apply vaseline to the skin around the area you are dying .... OR leave it to the professionals ... meanwhile get a pair of oversized sunglasses

I'm thinking the chlorine in the pool might help. :)

Tell me next time you see a good matinee. :)

Oh girlfriend, you are too funny! I'm very glad to meet you. Now following you too. I'm also a (ah-hmm clearing the throat here) Grandma... oh boy have said that in 21 years. My grandkids call me NaNee. Which is Italian for Gramma, but sounds a whole lot better being I was one at the tender age of 38. Now, about your skin. I've been dying my hair since I've been 16, and I've had that a few times with the skin ordeal. A good scrubbing with and soap & water. A little skin cream after usually does the trick if not it should be gone the next day. If that doesn't work let me know I have a few other suggestions. Nice to meet you. hahaha too funny!

Yes, I'm laughing, please forgive me. I was visiting you to see how the movie went and even though I didn't get a review, I'm leaving just as satisfied. See you soon. Your Friend, m.

When I get my hair colored sometimes my hairdresser gets die on the hairline around my face. I use nail polish remover to take it off- seriously. I dip a Q-tip dipped in polish remover and rub the skin around my hairline; it takes the die right off.

Oh my gosh Grandma J! That is TOO funny. I showed Kaish : ) He and Jonathon thought that you got a disguise. And then they started talking about being spies. And then they thought you were going on a secret mission. And then they started wrestling which is what they do all day every day... those boys. Drive me insane.
I always think you are beautiful! So glad you are having fun at your class. That is the greatest!

Oh dear. Sorry to hear of your problem and that you weren't able to go out as you had planned. There are some suggestions here that might help. Hope one of these ideas works for you. Good luck.

Hugs from Daisy.

I'm just glad the photo of you with the dye was not the "after" photo, which I thought it was at first, and then I was going to feel really, really sorry for you. But now I just feel a little sorry for you. And no, I have no suggestions, except, maybe, hair spray?

LOL...hair spray! Rubbing alcohol? When I get color from my hair around my hairline, I use rubbing alcohol or face toner (*shrug* it was handy) to remove it.

Good luck!

Dear Grandma J.

I'd leave a comment right now but cannot due to spasms occuring in my mid-section caused by hyper-laughing which unfortunately is due to your unfortunate eyebrow incident.

Although I have no advice for the color problem, I can--with absolutely confidence and conviction--advise you to back away from the razor as an option. Run away if you can.

It may work on any chin or moustache hairs, but please, for the love of all things good, do NOT use them on your eyebrows.

LOL! I am not laughing at you, lol. Really, I'm not.

I thought that the first picture of you with the caterpillars above your eyes was the end result. I thought, "Oh my, does Grandma J need her eyeglass prescription adjusted? Is she seeing what I'm seeing here?" Then I saw the second picture and realized that you had not lost your mind after all. Thank goodness!

I say try makeup. Good makeup can cover everything up. Start caking it on!

I think your eyebrows are quite distinctive. They say they are a frame for the eye -well, now they're just a larger frame.

I don't know why, but my already sparse eyebrows are disappearing, and what's left stick out this way and that, and are just yucky.

I've thought about dyeing them....and um....I guess it's not that great of an "eyedea". Maybe we should do like the late Tammie Faye Baker and tatoo them on?
