Grandma J Needs Your Help

Today Grandma J is gonna buckle down, bite the bullet, and do some major cleaning.   By major cleaning she means make her bed get down on her hands and knees and scrub stuff and then do some spit and shine stuff.

And no, you don't have to indulge in this drudgery of chasing dust bunnies.   What Grandma J needs from you two loyal friends is much more important and serious.
Please pull out your hair all your resources like your newspaper, or theatre  guide.......jump on your pony Internet browser and scour the web.....

And find Grandma J a good movie for her long lost Friday Matinee....because she's more than ready to escape this Texas humidity see something entertaining, funny, or not.

Majority rules...Grandma J will let you both decide...

Ok, I am going to vote for Karate Kid! Now, I know you might think that sounds kind of odd, but didn't you love the first one? I mean even if you hate kid movies, that Jaden is ADORABLE : ) And the scenery is supposed to be to-die-for! And it got a FABULOUS review.

Did you see Sex and the City yet? I went with Jen and Marsha when it first came out! I had the BEST time. The movie was super cheesy but it was fun to be with my girlfriends. So, if you can find 2 fabulously fun girlfriends to go with I would say go there : )

And this ends my good advice!

Good luck cleaning...that is my LEAST favorite thing in the whole world.

I looked in The Arts section of the NY Times .. seems only The A Team is listed as playing ... I wonder why that is .. surely there are more movies out there ...

I haven't been to a real movie in years, don't even really keep up with TV so I can't be of any use. Not much use with the housecleaning either, sorry.

It's Complicated and The Proposal are two extremely funny movies.

You can save money and just clean all day Friday. :)
How about Toy Story 3???? It should be good.

How about Knight and Day.
I know I know, Tom Cruise....but I still think he's cute to look at. That's the only thing out there that I want to see.

Well, I know for a fact that The Proposal is good. We saw that. However I still think you ought to see either Toy Story 3 or It's Complicated.
How's that for a split vote? ;-)

I don't know what's at the theater right now, but I'd like to see Toy Story 3.

Had to let you know that your cleaning pic cracked me right up. My girls would be right there with you, down in the dirt, "helping" with every last bit of cleaning. Spreading water, bleach, mildew cleaner etc. haphzardly across all surfaces they could find. Hope things are smelling bright and beautiful in your abode now!

Are you watching the Lakers game tonight, or do you only root for Texas teams now?

I wish I knew a good movie to see! My son has had World Cup soccer on tv for 1/2 the day!! US tied Slovenia 2-2 (US scored a 3rd goal, but it was called back due to a VERY controversial 'offsides' call...).

Now that you're up to date on World Cup Soccer, maybe cleaning won't be so bad!

nah.

Hope you're doing ok these days!

What did you see?
Recently I saw Sex and the City which was fun. The A-Team was also fun, cheesy, but fun. Get Him to the Greek was so so.
I think the new Tom Cruise/Cameron Diaz movie comes out this week. I'm not much of TC fan, but the movie looks good.

GO to the video store and rent High Anxiety (Mel Brookes)...In my estimation THE funniest movie ever made. 2nd funniest movie is Multiplicity (Michael Keaton/Andie MacDowell). I also always enjoy the 2 Babe(that'll do pig) movies!
