It Only Cost A Buck

I have been extremely busy lately. My phone had some software issues and I've been back and forth to the AT&T store trying to resolve the problem. Finally, since it's under warranty, AT&T sent me a new one. Lucky for me, I'm too lazy to mess with registering it and copying files....blah, blah, blah, so I took it to the AT&T store so they could assist me. On a side note, I found that I have an advantage being older, in fact it pays to say you are older than you actually are. The older you are, the more those guys are so willing to help. They even offered to send the old one back for me.

So then I sat in my car for over an hour trying to get my phone synced to my car's Sync....with no luck. The user's manual was at home, so I had to wait.

I moseyed over to the Dollar Tree Store.....a new favorite, but not quite as wonderful as the 99¢ Store...still, I love going up and down the aisles getting bargains.

How about Duct Tape? Seriously, this is a bargain. I mean with ten yards of duct tape you could make a prom dress or something.

These bubble pack mailers are a steal @ 2 per pack. I use a ton of these and they are over $1 each at Walmart.

I love these heat patches for my lower back 2 pk again!

Disney jumbo crayons in different themes. You know these are coming to your house.

Who knows what magic gloves are? The look and feel life regular knit gloves, but the fact that it says Pk of 2 makes me think they aren't regular gloves.

But 50¢ makes them something I can't pass up. And....look closely, they are from Chesapeake VA. Who wudda guessed?

I spent the evening....from 6:00 - 9:30 at a track meet...in 44 degrees with winds at 18 mph. Believe me, as soon as my granddaughter crossed that finish line, I cheered, then left! I'm so not a team player.

This is what I found when I came home....Phillip Johnny Bob reading my Sync Owner's Manual.

YOUR REBATE IS BEING PROCESSED

That's what AT&T has been saying since August.

Remember when I had it up to here, and marched into AT&T demanding a free upgrade and threw my To-Go-Phone in the trash? Then asked Gary which phone would allow me to communicate without screaming saying "what?" constantly....then hanging up on all my calls.

He talked me into this BlackJack II....and it was going to cost me a couple hundred bucks, and committing to another two year contract.

Every couple of weeks I would get a new text message from AT&T a reminder that they were still working on my rebate of $100. Isn't it grand that I pay for unlimited text messaging? Otherwise I'd be charged for those friendly reminders.

I pretty much told myself, "self, you will either get your rebate or you won't".......end of story.

Well, end of story until today.....this is what came in the mail.

An AT&T Debit card for my rebate. Now, it also came with a generic looking letter.

And I really thought it was one of those offers to get sign up for a new credit card. Haven't you ever gotten those offers with a faux card enclosed? That's what I thought it was and I almost threw it away.

So dear friends, this is how rebates are sent to you from AT&T. Not a check, but a debit card. You can activate it over the internet or by phone.

I'm curious about AT&T monitoring how I spend my rebate. I'm sure they track it, don't you think? Have you gotten one of these?

PLEASE...retake my Thanksgiving poll. I lost my template and in the process most of my "ELEMENTS" disappeared.
