We Interrupt Our Flat Caroline Visit....

.....for a commentary on Dancing With The Stars. Now it's not like I am a super DWTS fan. I watch while I stuff my face darn socks, and blog do my nightly yoga. But this season, just like last season with Chloris Leachman, the token make me laugh contestant, there is a contestant this season that will never be a dancer. I'm speaking of Steve Wozniak.

His score was a perfect 10. Ten as in combined score!

Len and Bruno gave him a 3, and Carrie Ann gave him a 4. Do they really want him out of the competition? What are they thinking? He is my entertainment.

Call me crazy, but take another look at that video......



Can we maybe give Steve an extra point for his fancy worm movements , or maybe the final move with his face up Karina Smirnoff's tunnel of love.

I loved Woz’s comment: "If you mix dancing with a little Smirnoff you might end up in an ambulance."

Did Anyone Watch?

I won't be reviewing Dancing With The Stars this season...but I will be watching and commenting when I get the urge to be a totally catty bi*ch critique something newsworthy, or when someone makes an ass out of themselves. So, don't come hear looking for a full blown review, because you won't get one will be sadly disappointed.

Having said that....I was surprised to see former Dallas Cowboys Cheerleader Melissa Rycroft compete on DWTS instead of Nancy O'Dell. The Access Hollywood host backed out due to injury. Melissa did fine, and I think she'll be great on the show. take that Jason!

Steve Woszniak, co-founder of Apple, also appeared on DWTS tonight. I think he just might be our new "Cloris Leachman-ish" dancer. It was comical watching him try to be cool on the dance floor.....geek that he is. He said it was the most fun he has ever had, and he might need a drug test before next Monday. Huh? Well, he isn't totally geeky, I mean he's had four wives..which is a relief to know because it means not all women marry for money or drugs looks and sex.

There were other interesting dancers this year...like Little Kim, who, while probably a good rapper, practiced ballroom dancing during her stay in the Philadelphia Detention Center.

Another interesting guy this season is Ty Murray, a retired rodeo champion. He needs help...seriously, major help in the dancing department. If he could just pretend his partner, Chelsie Hightower was a bull, then.....hmmmm, let's see how he does next time. Incidentally, Ty's wife, singer, Jewel, is also competing this season.

Another tidbit is Julianne Hough's dancing partner is her real life boyfriend, Chuck Wicks.

CLORIS UNLEASHED......really!

This is Cloris on Jimmy Kimmel last night after she got the boot from Dancing With The Stars.

I found it hilarious!

DOUBLE DUTY

I had a feeling Game 5 would be cancelled due to rain...but nope..a little bit of a delay here and there...with some work by the grounds crew, and then it was "PLAY BALL"

It looked like the Phillies had it wrapped up, then in the top of the sixth inning, the Rays scored....tying it up, 2-2.

The umpires called a rain delay around 10:30 PM, and the infield was covered...I don't know, it's after 11 PM, and the rain isn't letting up.

Game 5 will resume in the bottom of the sixth inning Tuesday on FOX at 8 p.m. ET, weather permitting.

So, when the Fat Lady sings, you know it's in the bag.

I really got caught up in what could be the final game, and yet I was also watching Monday Night Football...and Dancing With The Stars.

I have to say, DWTS was extremely boring. I know, it was probably just me. I mean, I was really into both games.

When they got around to the Olde School Hip Hop group dance, I tried to give it my undivided attention....Then Cloris came bouncing out with a boom box the size of New Hampshire on her shoulder!

I love the woman, and there is so much to admire...but really, she's getting on my last raw nerve. I feel guilty saying that because I couldn't do what she does, and she's old enough to be my mother. Seriously, I try doing Richard Simmons, "Sweatin to The Oldies" vol 2, and after ten minutes I need a break.

It's sad, so sad because I really like her as an actress, and she's sweet. Please tell me I"m not the only one who feels this way?

Dancing With The Stars

We are moving right along this season.


Susan the botox Lucci is still dancing...

And so is Cloris the grand marshall Leachman.

I can only imagine these two senior citizens are still there due to the strong arm tactics of the Gray Panthers.

Toni Braxton and Alec Mazzo got the boot. It's all about the votes folks! I personally don't vote because I'm lazy it costs money and I'm cheap.

But hey, weren't those kids great? The band was musically good and visually pitiful.

Here is a local observation....

You Take Me To ...FUNKY TOWN!

...or in the words of Bruno, discribing Warren's dancing the Hustle, "He knows how to funk."

Warren, my favorite, was fantastic doing the Hustle earning a score of 25.

Tonight I actually paid attention to about half of the stars and their dancing. OK, I missed Susan Lucci, but I didn't really miss her.

Cloris, dear Cloris.....ever the star, working her fan base! She spent some time at the famous Farmer's Market in LA schmoosing with her fans, soliciting votes. This is the same venue where I had brunch with my Los Angeles blogger friends, Jason, from The Jason Show, Pumpkin Delight, and my new BFF from down under, Hula Hank from Australia.

Then she hit the dance floor with Corky, doing The Salsa. Bruno excitedly proclaimed that "the girl can still turn a trick....well done."

When asked what motivated her to let loose, Cloris said Corky told her to role-play as a skanky ho! Cloris scored a perfect 21, 7-7-7.

Brook and Derek earned the highest score of 29 doing the jitter-bug, the favorite dance of one of my readers....who probably has the energy and stamina to out do any of them. It was noted that Derek's hair was an official bird sanctuary.

Corky and Juliane (aka, I Love Lucy) scored a whopping 28, putting them in the running.

Tomorrow someone gets the boot. Who will it be?

**Someone, that would be me....brought it to my attention that I only posted one picture. Well, use your imagination for a change I confess that I accidently deleted all the good ones....yes, I did take some excellent ones.....dang camera!

DO THE HUSTLE

Is anyone else tickled pink to see Dancing With The Stars add a few new dances to their repetoire?

Like Cheryl and Maurice doing the Hustle...I loved the get-ups and Cheryls Fro...which took the emphasis off the rumors of her weight gain of five pounds. I couldn't help getting up and dancing with them...every so often shouting "get dowwwwnnnnn". You guys thought I wasn't paying attention this week...but I fooled you, I watched and I danced and boy did I have fun.

It's too bad Chef Rocco didn't make the cut. But come on...who would vote for someone with those ruffled sleeves?

Now isn't that much better? They should have ripped them off sooner.

But look who is still Stayin Alive? Good ol' Cloris! I have to say she did a pretty fine job this week...look at that leg spread? Holy cat's pajamas!

But this is really the stuff that brings in the ratings and votes...seriously, I think it's staged. If it weren't, she would never have earned the coveted.....

Grand Marshall of the Tournament of Roses Parade. I can't think of a better choice. This is the parade of my childhood. My grandparents lived three doors up from the parade route on Colorado Blvd. in Pasadena, and what memories! The only other Grand Marshall that I got excited about was Kate Smith...as she belted out God Bless America. Ok, I liked Kermit The Frog too.

So who's next to get the boot?

Could it be Miss Botox Ericka Kane? With that catty comment being said, she still looks good for her age.

I'm not sure there are seven things about me that you don't already know, or that I haven't already confessed to in another meme, or moomoo. I'm gonna dig deep in my psyche, but forgive me if I'm redundant....or boring.

1. Since retiring, I try to stay up to watch the sunrise so I can watch Red Eye at 2 a.m.

2. When I was in seventh grade, I wanted a bra in the worst way. Now that I'm retired, I hate bras....period, but I still wear one....sometimes.

3. I would rather have eggs for dinner than breakfast.

4. I would rather have pizza for breakfast than for dinner.

5. I was shocked to see that, in a recent poll on my blog, that the dance my readers wanted to see the most on Dancing With The Stars was the Hokie Pokie.

6. I have a huge carbon footprint, but I'm gonna buy some of these bags at Walmart even if it puts me in the poor house. The price of the bags won't break me, but maybe the trash can liners I'll have to buy will. Just saying.

7. I intend on doing all my Christmas shopping this year with Billy Mays.

THE DANCING QUEEN...is still dancing

And so it goes, Cloris and Corky went down to the wire..... Then Cloris started getting nervous, really nervous.

She reached deep down inside to find her infant self, and started sucking her thumb. Now, I don't know that I want to really make fun say anything one way or the other...because she's way older than me, and brave enough to make a fool of herself to get on TV and dance, dance, dance.

The "sorry, you're going home" couple this week is Kim and Mark. They were very gracious, and probably shouldn't have been leaving, but it's all in good fun, and remember, someone has to vote to keep them in.....this someone didn't.

I enjoyed Jessica Simpson singing. I like her voice, and she's beautiful.....so when I get my wii Karaoke, I will pretend I'm Jessica Simpson.

Then they had this goof ball and his sisters....puleeeze! Dancing With the Stars has got to stick with the program of Stars Dancing.....period.

The icing on the cake for me tonight was Warren and Kym! They were very Matrix-y, and Warren's smile is all I see. Does he dance good?

IF LOOKS COULD KILL....the judges

Never mind that she's 82, Cloris Leachman is a force to be dealt with. If and when she gets the old heave ho, they will have to carry her out screaming and kicking.

She did a mambo, and they called her Coconut Mama. Now, I don't know if he's looking for her coconuts, but they ain't under there.

Susan Susan.....you have a great figure and you are a decent dancer, but your face scares me almost as much as Cloris' threats.

Warren Sapp woo'ed the crowd again! I think he is my favorite so far.

And just as I predicted, Jeff Ross was sent home.....

He was such a good sport, and his family was there to support him til the end.

Dancing in a Trance
unless you're the one who stole my tummy....

The women made their debut last night on Dancing With The Stars. I only pick a few to critique because I have to watch other stuff at the same time. And that other stuff is what I REALLY like.

Kristie Yamaguchi was the top scorer amongst the women last night. Some of you may think Kristie Yamaguchi is my favorite. Well, let's just say...yes, I think she is. That could change, but for now, I like her. When she closed her eyes I knew she was going to her "happy place"...the ICE.

Before Priscilla Presley performed I wasn't too excited. I had seen pictures of her that were too perfect and it irritated me that she didn't have wrinkles. I mean, we are the same age, and it's not my fault that I wasn't in West Germany when Elvis was looking for a child bride. Some people just happen to be in the right place at the right time. So when the judges told Priscilla that she was "star quality" I had to agree. Then she closed her eyes and went to her happy place.

When Marlee danced I was amazed. This deaf woman was incredable. She said she listens to her heart. Her partner, Fabian was listening to her heart too! The judges thought she was fantastic! Then, Marlee closed her eyes. I know she has a happy place, or was she wondering what kind of mischief her four kids were getting into?

So then, why in heck didn't Marissa close her eyes and go to her very own happy place ? She was the most fun, but did she have to flaunt her "I have your body" in my face?

Oh and yeah, just to keep you informed, I live right there, smack dab in the middle of CenTex.
