Another Freebee.....
..... for the hungry

Ladies and gentlemen, mark your calendars...tomorrow is the big day.

Back on February 3th, Denny's gave away some 2 million Grand Slam breakfasts. My son and his father-in-law, and his father, waited in line bright and early for the free breakfast, and said it wasn't a long wait, and they had a blast.

My friend Marey took her son, Big Foot for the Grand Slam breakfast....and then she took him for free Tacos at Jack In The Box the same day. Hey, if you had a son named Big Foot you'd understand...besides he's a very tall, handsome, active, talented athlete.

Well, Denny's is at it again with the "Pass Along Grand Slam Kindness" promotion 6 a.m. to 2 p.m. this coming Wednesday, April 8.

You can get a free Grand Slamwich for a friend when you order a Grand Slamwich for yourself.

"We invite you to bring a friend . . . anyone who could use a hug, a smile, a lift, a free meal. . . . I'm sure everyone knows someone who they want to pass Grand Slam kindness on to," says Mark.

Who the frank is Mark? Well, he works at Denny's, of course.

Easy Go...Easy Come
It was sad leaving So CA...

My whole reason for going on this short but sweet junket was to babysit so HSH could go to Dove Chocolate School and a Dove Convention, then spend a few days with my son and his family, and meet up with old friends that I miss terribly.

Things started out fine with am American Girl Birthday luncheon...and a Superbowl bash the next day.

Then I watched the same Beauty nap after a long day at school.

I got to the beach once with Little one.

...and delighted in her love of her baby.

I was amazed at how grown up Pooper was with his typical eight year old love of Nintendo DS. And spent time eating junk and seeing a movie with some awesome kids.

My daughter-in-law was recovering from surgery, and before we could even think about having much fun...

she ended back in the hospital with internal bleeding problems...to keep it simple.

This replaced any plans for personal pleasure with visits to the hospital.

The weather turned cold and wet...reflecting the turn of events.

If you were are one of my friends that I neglected to call..I'm sad that I couldn't pop in for a hug and maybe go to lunch at In N Out.

Rebeckah, my neighbor wouldn't dare try to infringe on my patio while I'm gone, ever again...no never!

Oh, and once I get caught up on dirty laundry I'm planning to leave again the end of March for Denver. I'm gonna drive this time....maybe spend a day in Santa Fe on the way. Of course I have to honk my horn at Hollywood as a pass through Albuquerque.... Wanna come along?

FLYING LOW, AND FINALLY
....coming in for a landing

I know you are still looking forward to my never ending vacation tales, as in fluttering around like a social butterfly. I hate to disappoint everyone, but there is only one more night of sucking up suds, spuds and rib eyes partying to tell you about.

My only son, who took me out with his wife's gift card for a belated birthday grand finale dinner at The
Yard House in Brea, CA.

And because his wife is such a sweetheart, and my son is so generous....

..........and silly.

he invited his mother-in-law, and the kids to come too....a real live family dinner celebration.

So that tops off my vacation....the next morning I was on my way back to Central Texas.

Now, I have a dilemma.....I want to go to the movies tomorrow...not to confuse anyone, but let's call it Friday Matinee on Thursday.

Here is the dilemma....this is where I need your help. I want to see two movies.

Should I see this one?

Or what about this one.....I love me some Kathy Bates more than you know!

I have to know by twelve noon which one I should see. I really want to see both, but that's way more sitting than I can take again this week. My flight was as long as two movies, but they fed me, and pampered me.

So which one is it? I value
your opinion more than you know.
