BEST BUDS, or......

....maybe it's BFFs

Yesterday, while Grandma J was attending to A-Ron, and his triple extraction, she was too busy to visit much with JJ.

She did let him and his best buddy, Phillip Johnny Bob go for a spin in her new Escape....

because a favorite pass time around the neighborhood is sniffing the genitals of out the car window for other dogs.

Dude....your seat belt!!!

Back at the house, once again Grandma J lost contact with JJ......he seemed to disappear from his usual mode of being under foot front and center where all action was taking place.

Tiptoeing upstairs, this is what Grandma J found.......

JJ and Phillip Johnny Bob, staring out the window. This window in the loft at Grandma J's daughter's home, is on the side of the house and looks down into the neighbor's back yard.

Grandma J doesn't know these neighbors, they come and they go, always screaming at each other in Portuguese smiling and waving, Hi .

Back up to the loft an hour later, the guys were still fixed on whatever was in that back yard. Grandma J decided to take a look, because nothing could be that interesting....no, nothing.

Wait! I've seen that car, and that woman before! It's Oprah....and, what? I see something else moving around...

OMG! It's a big dog......a Great Dane! Could this blogger she be my daughter's neighbor?

Just about then my daughter starts calling my name.....I awake, and realize I was dreaming!

or was I?

SER.I.OUS.LY POSTED

Today I was off to a mission.....

....and this is what I got. Can you guess?

My Lentin Ashes. Not a sign of grace, but an outward sign of graces needed.

*this post in no way resembles or was a knock-off of Bossy's popular Guess and Press. But if it was, I hope Bossy is flattered. ..maybe.

SANTA PLEASE BRING ME A HERSHEY BAR

I don't have a real handle on progress when it comes to some of the personal changes in my life. Like people messing with my chocolate. I get it when gas goes up, and when I have to pay twenty five dollars for a piece of luggage to travel with me. I do my best to be green....I turn the lights out at night and chew gum for three days straight a long time. Bad news about interest rates, and mutual funds tanking are a disappointment but I can mooch off my kids ride it out.

Do
you know what really upset me today? I heard that Hershey is raising the price of candy 11%. What were they thinking?

This is where the Hershey family lives. Right smack between Willy Wonka and Bossy. I know for a fact that Bossy eats Hershey laden s'mores. What is this thing called greed all about?

This is what's happening to the price, and the volume, and the stock is tanking...down 5% in one day.

Back in the 50's, that would make these six cents and eleven cents.

But would
you really want to pay $277.50 for this?

And this cute little two pounder goes up to $27.75.

TAG, YOUR IT!
words that every blogger loves to hear
...in their dreams.

I was tagged by Kimberly over at
Pumpkin Delight to do a meme. I am supposed to tell you about six quirks that I have. It will be difficult to find six things I am quirkish about...but I will wrack my brain.

1. I don't like cream cheese or sour cream. I won't eat anything that has cream cheese as an ingredient even if you can't see or taste it. If someone makes a cake that has cream cheese or sour cream in it, I won't eat it. I know I can't taste it...it doesn't matter. Now, when I'm eating something I really like, I hum. I do.

2. I have to have real butter. I can tell even in cooking if there's margarine in something. My mother Rita, used to put margarine in a butter wrapper thinking I wouldn't notice. It drove me crazy. I'd rather eat something dry than taste margarine. I'm extremely insulted when a restaurant serves margarine. I was at a steak house called Black Anus and they told me they didn't have real butter because it's bad for our health...Huh?? The next time I went there with HSH and her Honey, I brought my own cube of butter. Healthy is a matter of perspective. Some people find red meat unhealthy, or desserts.

3. I love slot machines and playing blackjack. If you go to a casino with me and you don't want to play, that's fine. Don't stand over my shoulder to bring me "good luck" because it doesn't work that way. If you ask me if I'm hungry, and I say no, please, go eat without me. Thank you very much.

4. I Can't stand clutter. I like everything in it's place. People at work used to make fun of me because the only papers on my desk were in one folder for one project. I used to wipe my desk and work area with rubbing alcohol at the end of each day. don't ask me why.

5. I sing when I drive, with the music loud, especially on the open road. I was enjoying my singing once on my way to San Diego, and a CHP on a motorcycle had to come up and cut me off to get my attention. I didn't hear his siren. I cuss at bad drivers (with the windows up).

6. I let my grandchildren eat whatever they want, whenever that want, where ever they want. We don't ever tell the parent units what we do.....ever!

7. I sleep with the TV on. I never turn it off. I also make my bed as soon as I get up, before I do anything. I like white sheets only, 400+ thread count, no flannel, no satin.

Ok, I did seven because there are several more and it was hard to pick just six. But as long as I'm on a roll, I have to say, I hate salad dressing....all salad dressing. I love salad, and don't assume that I want lots of lemons to compensate.

Now I'm supposed to tag six people. I was going to break the rules because Pumpkin took all my friends. Well, except for Hollywood and Nick. They don't have blogs. Of course there's Bossy and P-Dub, but they don't do meme, mimi, mama's. If you would like to do this quirky thing then please do! Let me know cuz I'd love to read them.

If you decide to do this meme, here are the rules:

1. Link to the person who tagged you.

2. Mention the rules on your blog. (Here they are.)

3. Tell about six unspectacular quirks of yours.

4. Tag six fellow bloggers by linking them.

5. Leave a comment on each of the six blogger’s blogs letting them know they have been tagged.

MAJOR ROAD TRIP....day one only

I don't know where the time has gone, but today's the day I head down the road to meet two great blogger friends, Cortney and Briana at Creekside Gathering.

I'm all packed and ready to travel south on this infamous highway to the beautiful city of Pflugerville Texas.
The world will be a condensed version our oyster in a nutshell for one glorious day. I'm excited and can hardly wait. Hasta!

*please note that this Major Road Trip is in no way meant to resemble any Excellent Road Trips. Besides, Bossy doesn't read my blog, everyday and what she doesn't know won't hurt her...too badly.
