HAPPY BIRTHDAY LITTLE GIRL

I'll never forget the day you were born. You were perfect. Not just healthy perfect, but so beautiful that my internist stopped by and would hold you and rock you ....in awe of your beauty....and that's the truth. You continue to be beautiful inside and out. I am proud of the woman, wife, mother and daughter you are today. I love you.

That's right, it's my little girl's birthday. Well, my middle daughter. Since she works long hours and yes, her husband just left three days ago for Iraq, the kids wanted to fix dinner for her. Actually, my granddaughter made the dinner with my help, and her brother decided on the menu. Stuffed baked potatoes with the works.

JJ bought his Mommy gifts and flowers.

He also bought her a tiara...

The kids were happy to smother their Mommy with love.

And when my grandson got carried away, You-know-who got jealous.

My granddaughter made a chocolate cake with ice cream filling in the center.

And yes Grandma J dove right in.....my bad!

And I still remember the day we brought our perfect sister home. Dad had pulled up to the curb at the hospital, and you and Kristine sat right up front! This was, of course, back in the days when it was ok for you to hold your newborn on your lap, in the front seat. While your 4 year old daughter, and 2 year old son, crawled around in the back.

So, there we all were, in our little, yellow station wagon, and mom kept saying, "Isnt she BEEEAAAAUUUUUUUUUUUUUTiful.!!!!" We thought she was pretty cute, as we pushed our heads over the front seat to see her....all the while, mom kept gushing, uncontrollably, about how ravishing this baby was....and she even said, flat out, that she was much cuter than we were!! But, that is another post.

Today, Happy Birthday Kristine!! You are still just a beautiful, and the tiara was perfect....the only thing missing, besides John, was that the wrapping paper should have been Holly Hobbie. :0

How could you not? That cake looks like one big Suzy-Q.

Happy Birthday to your daughter. She deserved the tiara on her special day.

This post made me delighted : ). Not only did I learn that JJ is able to shop and pick out flowers, I learned that your AWESOMG grandaughter can make a cake like no other. Ice cream in the middle of a cake- that sounds too good to be true! I am so thankful you can be there with them. You are the best Grandma!

Happy birthday to your daughter. She is beautiful, and so are her kids. JJ is kind of pushy, but generous. What did he get his mom?

Happy Birthday Kristine! I agree w/ HSH, the Holly Hobbie wrapping paper would have been perfect. And some strawberry scented shampoo.
Love you,
