Movin' On Up

You all know Elise, aka Little One.
Who knows how to smile BIG on command.

Who gets all gussied up for a day on the town.  To be more specific, a day shopping at Target.

The diva who is so comforable in her own skin, she sees nothing wrong with having breakfast at McDonald's in her Hello Kitty jammies. Yes, she said she brushed her hair.

The princess who not only likes her buns powdered, but likes her little piggies powdered too.

Well, she's no longer that little preschooler who spent the last three years as a Teddy, Penguin and an Owl....

She's moving on up....

To kindergarten!!!  Congratulations, Elise!

Grandparent's Day is going to pretty special for Grandma J this coming fall.

A Peak at Last Week

Grandma J had a week or two packed to the gills with activities that left her without the time to do much blogging. When she had the time, she didn't have access to her laptop. It was all a matter of others having dibs first!

One event that she has to mention is another graduation ceremony....

His! That's right...A-Ron graduated from middle school.    Then he had a birthday. His fourteenth!

Where have the years gone since he was a four year old Davey Crocket?

A Purpose Driven Road Trip

Some people will use any excuse for a road trip.   Other people need a really good reason...

Grandma J had the best reason ever.....because her oldest granddaughter, Turtle, was graduating from high school.  Not just any high school, but a school of choice.

Miss T graduated with honors up the ying yang.....

...allowing her to be front and center.

She had so much fun graduating from high school......

That she decided to graduate with her AA degree from the Community College the same week!

Grandma J wouldn't have missed this road trip for the world.

Now, it's time for the hotel's hot tub.

FLOAT LIKE A BUTTERFLY....
then buy Grandma J a new camera

Last night I went to observe my Texas granddaughter's dance lesson.

She's the one who just graduated from middle school, and should be a model.
opposed to the one who just graduated from pre-K. and is a self-made fashion and accessories model.

This was not a routine I was observing, but rather a whole
plethora of moves.
You know what I'm talking about...popping,

locking and dropping....chair freeze and baby freeze...
front swipes and corkscrew dips. Brooklyn up-rocking

The two goofs came along. Besides watching the dance moves, they pretty much emptied the vending machines.

We ended up at Jason's Deli, with stuffed baked potatoes and strawberry shortcake to go.

***WARNING...STOP HERE.... if you don't want to see an almost nude waxed male. (I bet everyone looks)

* Big Brother fans....I have a news flash about Jessie..that probably isn't really news to the super sluethes amongst you. Anyway, it seems our Mr. "I can't get enough of loving myself" has been posing nude for quite some time. I don't want to get my little blog rating dropped in the toilet by posting that stuff, but here is a shot I cleaned up with my upscale version of SHARPIE.

GRADUATION, BIRTHDAY,
and all things fattening

This has been a week of family celebrations here in Texas. If getting cornered to look at family photos nauseates you, then this post won't be your cup of tea or glass of tequila. It started with the graduation of my granddaughter who's Miss All That With a Cherry on Top.

I know you're thinking, Gosh Grandma J sure is short and fat, but really? my granddaughter is extremely tall. Don't be fooled by her looks...she graduated from Middle School, and will be entering the ninth grade in the Fall.
Here's another picture of Miss Graduate with her brother, who's also the Birthday Boy. I don't think he's pinching her because I can see both his hands. Could it be she has to go potty shoes that hurt her feet?
Then we grab some poor soul who's trying to take their own pictures, to take a family photo of all five of us. Besides the Graduate and Birthday Boy we have Grandma J, her
Middle Daughter and her handsome husband, Master Sergeant John...who has served two deployments to Iraq. Those deployments were sandwiched with two deployments to Korea. Don't tell anyone, but I heart John. John is also Tabatha's big brother.

The Birthday Boy turned 12! He is on a traveling baseball team, when he's not on his traveling basketball or football teams. Because of all his sports obligations, the party with all the boogie woogie...get down stuff was "on the road".

Imagine if you will, about fifteen families staying at Motel 6 partying. Does anyone wonder why Grandma J likes hanging with JJ on weekends?

If you think the partying is over, think again. I won't let celebrations like these go without a trip to our favorite restaurant. Well, it's really the Birthday Boy's favorite, and that's all Grandma J needs to know.
Then we had some of this.....
And these....
Topped off with four crazies digging their spoons into this.
